We laid out these dryland hockey tiles in the living room—two 19 x 38-inch panels—and my son gave ‘em a go with his new ice skates, but he wasn’t impressed. They’re slick enough, made of this high-density polyethylene that feels pretty close to real ice for sliding a puck around, and I could see them working for some stickhandling or shooting drills. But for skating? Two panels just isn't enough space—he could barely move before hitting the edge, and it felt more like a shuffle than a glide. They’re sturdy, double-sided, and snap together somewhat easily, so I get the idea—expand ‘em if you’ve got room—but with just a couple, it’s too cramped to really skate. Might be decent for puck work with only two, but you need more for actual skating.

I like the size of the sheets, they felt good, obviously not like real ice but sufficient for what I was after and being able to do some indoor hockey practice. The pieces were a little difficult to put together, one side would go in easy but the other side appeared to be out of spec by just a smidge and so i had to force it together. Overall pleased with the Ice sheets and will likely order more as 2 sheets isn't quite big enough for what I am wanting to do.

These HDPE hockey ice tiles are large, thick, weighty, and very durable. Two of them came in my package and they fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. I was worried that things would catch on the join lines, but everything just slides right over them like they aren’t even there. Perfectly flat and smooth (as long as they are laid over a flat floor or surface). Not the same feel as ice, but slick enough to practice stickhandling drills or even use as a little slide board with booties.

I want to like these tiles, but they are not what I thought they would be when I got them. Both sides are usable so it is nice that it is reversible. The only odd thing is that it looks and feels like there is a plastic film on it, but I have been able to remove it. It is "slippery" though so it is nice and skateable. It does produce plastic shaving so not sure how environmentally safe it is if you use it outdoors. I have it inside and vacuum it regularly.I would recommend a different brand that has slightly larger tiles rather than this one, but not a terrible choice if you had to buy this one.

Works as expected, big workout though as it’s not the same as actual ice. Big enough to fit in your living room, great value for your buck. Easy to setup and install. Durable and sticks well as expected. Better for indoor skating if you don’t have access to ice skating places. Does the job but it is more of a workout than normal ice skating

These are by no means anything like a professional rink, but it does work well when gliding over them with rollerblades opposed to the concrete that really messes up the wheels. They're large in size - probably the largest I've seen available after having ordered some much smaller 9x9 ones previously. The material is smooth on top kind of like a plastic cutting board and the tiles fit nicely together. The surface that these need to rest on has to be even or it can create uneven gaps in the tiles which is a concern. I may have to consider a more permanent solution to mounting these to the ground.

For all you hockey lovers this is a great way to practice without the ice. It’s very durable and built well. It sticks well and easy to assemble

So to start these tiles are lightweight and link together pretty flawlessly. I was surprised with how smooth the surface was even at the meeting point of two tiles. The texture is much smoother than any floor you’ll find in your house or outside, though it’s not quite the same feeling as ice. While most of the listing is regarding stick handling and shooting half of the listing images show a player wearing ice skates on top of the tiles. So be aware that these tiles are NOT for wearing skates on top of and even being stationary can damage the tiles. However, the tiles are double sided if you do happen to damage one. Overall the size of these make them a decent value and the smoothness and fit of multiple tiles together make them great to make a training zone wherever you have room. The basement has been a great spot for us and we will be using this for shooting practice pretty often.
