The noise floor on this unit is pretty high. To get any decent dynamic range, especially for piano/classical you have to crank up the audio. Enter the hiss. It's there. It's bad. It makes the unit completely unusable. Aside from this the software is buggy. As much as I don't want to return YET ANOTHER DS18 DSP, it appears this one is crappy too.

I returned do to the fact it sounded way worse with the dsp than without it I had gains turned down, all eqs flat, crossovers set. Bass was crazy distorted no matter how low set the equalizer settings. When I only use an equalizer app on my phone while I stream my music it was nice and loud, clear and gad alot of bass. With this dsp it has horrendous audio. And I know how to set gains and set voltage out of amp. I pulled the dsp and went back to just my phone equalizer app and all good again. I only wanted to use dsp to get my rear speakers highs to match my front speakers highs. Or to lower the front brightness down closer to the rear. Sounded so so bad though.I used a different brand dsp previously and it sounded great after I set it up but it would drain my batter even when off so I returned it.

Love that I can tune my audio system from my phone and not have to use a laptop like my last dsp. Small footprint will allow you to hide it just about anywhere. I was able to install mine under my console. App controls are a bit tiny while using on my phone but I'm sure it would be great on a tablet. Simple to use yet made a significant impact on sound quality. Highly recommend for those who know how to tune 30 band equalizer.

dont waist your money or time i chose this because it supposedly had a good sample rate and it has app support its just wouldnt connect through bluetooth first and after taking it out and reinstalling to try again it makes my stereo sound horrible
