I am grateful there is such an adapter but although my MacBook Pro "Sees" the display, I cannot get a picture. I also tried my M1 Mac Mini with similar results. I guess I need to search for a Mac specific adapter.

I can’t say much about how it works because I needed a male piece and accidentally got the female piece. I can say it is Great quality and doesn’t look like it’ll break easily so that’s a plus. I’m sad I got the wrong part, but I didn’t technically need the male piece either. I’ll probably just stick with my hdmi chord for now
