The documentation for this unit shows the output voltage for brown/yellow wire combination to be 24v and brown/black to be 28v.The input wiring is the normal black/white. The first thing I noticed is the wire gauge feels pretty thin on the 110v input side. I connected it to power and tested the output with my multimeter. Brown/yellow showed 28v (supposed to be 24v) and brown/black showed 32v (supposed to be 28v). That is a 14% and 16% difference between intended and actual voltage.I intended to use this transformer to power a Ring video doorbell. However, the Ring maximum voltage input is 24v, therefore I will not be able to use this unit. This could be used for 28-32v applications, but not mine. Two stars because the unit "works", but not within the stated parameters.

This is a super heavy duty transformer. It is larger and weighs more than a typical furnace transformer for homes. For a typical house furnace transformer, it's rated about 40VA and this one is 100VA, significantly higher specification. It can output 24 V or 28V. Upon testing, the actual output is 27+ V and 31+ V, as expected. Plan to use it to support my radiant floor heating system. It should handle the devices with ease.
