I'm not totally sure what the issue is but the plants will not grow well in these pots. And it takes A LOT of soil to fill them up to using level. Wish I hadn't purchased them. But one plus: they sit perfectly on the porch rails as advertised. Just wish the flower would grow in them.

I've had these planters for years and have left them outside through all kinds of weather with absolutely no wear on them. They also sit very securely on the railing and are easy to move. They're the best planter I've found.

We had two planters for our deck rails for many years and last year they started to crack and fall apart. I don't remember where we got them so we were "in the market." These seemed great - we went for the black color. They arrived really quickly and were completely undamaged. The "fit" on the rail was great. Now I can't wait to fill them with soil and plants!

These are excellent planters and they fit perfectly on our patio railings. They are ingeniously made to fit on two sizes of railings. The dimensions are 25 x 10.5 x 9 inches and fits on a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 railing. Very nice product. We filled all six of ours the same day with spring flowers and they are doing a wonderful job of displaying on our patio.

It came in a large box and was in perfect condition. It is made of strong and sturdy plastic that will last many years. I use it to grown strawberries on my front railing. My wooden railing was a little skinny to hold it alone so I put some wooden shimmies under the sides and it has held through several wind storms already. I would not hesitate to purchase another one of these again.

I wanted a basic planter for a mostly hidden deck railing so I could have a little herb garden. I filled the "troughs" on either side with some pea gravel and the rest of the planter with potting soil. Planted chives, cilantro and Thai basil. All fit well in the planter and the water drains very well out the holes in the bottom. The planter fits securely on the deck railing and is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Only thing I would change is I wish it was available in white. But it fits the need I was looking for.

I was afraid that they would not be heavy enough and that they would fly away, but with the small rocks at the bottom and soil, they are totally fine. They are pretty big and if you want to grow herbs, I would think you could put from two to three different plants. We are very happy with these planters. They have wholes at the bottom as well, which facilitates water evacuation. Pretty perfect.
