I recently purchased the HAITRAL 16.9 Inch Deck Railing Planter Boxes (4-pack in red) for my balcony, and I'm really happy with how they've transformed the space. The **rectangular shape and bright red color** add a lovely pop to my railings. I found the **metal flower pot brackets** to be quite sturdy, and they securely held the planters in place without any wobbling, even with soil and plants added. The 16.9-inch size offers enough room for a good variety of flowers or herbs, which is what I'm growing. They were also pretty easy to assemble and hang. Good quality and value.

I like the classic color and that it has little drip pans for each planter. I didn't use the brackets, but I like the fact that if I ever decide to attach them to my wooden fence, they'll be ready to go for that project. The plastic is thin, but since they are kind of small, it's fine. If the walls were thicker, you wouldn't have much room for soil or plants. The amount of styrofoam in the packaging was kind of annoying (and it fell apart pretty easily, giving me an unwanted clean up job.). I took a star off for that. Other than that minor annoyance, these pots do what I need them to do and look nice doing it.

These planters are my first attempt at patio rail planters, so I can’t compare them to others. The planters are a thin plastic that disappointed me although I don’t know what I was expecting. I think they’ll do fine mounted to my balcony railing, but would have liked a heavier planter for aesthetic reasons. I consider them good “training” planters, and I’ll invest more money when I have more experience.

"This review is for HAITRAL 16.9 Inch Deck Railing Planter Boxes for Plants, Rectangular Hanging Window Boxes Planters with Metal Flower Pots Brackets - 4 Pack Railing Planter Box for Balcony Fences Garden, Red (Red)To get four planters and hardware for this price point, I was a little skeptical. The hardware is good. It feels like it will support the planter without issues (note - I use a special blend mix with peat moss so mine aren't as heavy). However, the actual planters themselves are very cheap - think the same quality you'd get at the dollar store. I can see these quickly and easily chipping, but only time will tell how well they hold up to the elements. For the price point, this isn't a terrible set to get started with.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item."

Unboxing: Easy enough, though there is a lot of styrofoam particulates to clean off the nooks and crannies of the planter boxs/drip trays from the included styrofoam blocks, I'd give it a 4/5 rating on that.Assembly/Instruction quality: The drip tray and planter box snap together, a little difficult due to the thinness of the plastic used, but still relatively easy. As for the actual mounting bracket setup, it is simple enough, the instructions are good leaving nothing to imagination. For the physical install, probably need two people, I set it up by myself so it can be done, but I would not recommend it, not time efficient. 5/5 rating.Quality/Value: The planter boxes are made of polypropylene, a sturdy, resilient polymer, so they should, in theory, hold up just fine, however I do not like the reality of how thin the wall thickness of the plastic is, even considering the properties of the plastic and the brackets, it should be much thicker. The drip trays are a nice addition, but they also suffer the same flaw as the planters they attach to. The steel hardware included is easy to understand, adaptable to pretty much any profile shape of pole to be mounted on. The planters hold a good amount of soil while still being very manageable. 3/5 rating.Summary: Overall, I like them conceptually, but as others have stated, the planters are flimsy plastic that will likely not hold up for long, I will use them to plant annuals like marigolds, daisies etc, but nothing perennial for when they break. I would say, avoid this unless you A. do not mind the drawbacks of the planter boxes or B. have planters in need of a mounting solution that are for certain the same dimensions as these planters, because the mounting hardware is good.

These are a nice set of planters. They might be a little overpriced, but they aren't just the pots. They have the trays and brackets too. Of course, you don't have to use the trays or the brackets. I just set mine on my ledge. I actually used peel and stick paper to decorate the outside of them as you can see in my picture. The contact paper stuck well to the planter surface! These planters are lightweight, but that's ok with me. Most of these types of planters aren't super thick and solid. I saw a couple of reviews that didn't like the thinner plastic. But it doesn't make them flimsy! Just don't expect them to be 1/2 inch thick!I think they are a good set! They have plenty of drainage! They will last if you take care of them! I'd recommend them if you need a set. They are great for flowers and herbs!

These planters are a complete disappointment. The plastic is incredibly thin and tears with almost no effort—more like packaging than something meant for outdoor use. The mounting bracket doesn’t actually secure to the planter, which means you’re just balancing it on a slick wire frame and hoping it doesn’t fall. Unsurprisingly, they fall. A light breeze is enough to knock them off. I wouldn’t trust them to hold anything, let alone stay put on a deck rail. These feel like a cheap prototype someone forgot to finish. Save your money and avoid the frustration.
