This is a great product made in USA. I bought it so that I could oil my shredder with canola oil without making a mess everywhere. I used it tonight and could not be happier with it. It does not leak at all---not even from the nozzle after pumping out oil 5-6 times. Some reviews claim it leaked everywhere--my message to them is simple: you clearly got a defective product somehow--contact the seller and get a new item or your money back and stop whining--unfortunately defective products happen. Again, I'm very happy with this product. I should have bought one years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P.S. I tried to buy a generic pistol oiler from a large home improvement store and before I used it I read on the box "contains material that may cause cancer". I immediately returned the oiler. This Goldenrod oiler has no insane warning like that!!!10/14/15-Update--the lid/cap of the oiler is pitted and I assume it will turn to rust and fall apart. Very odd that this is happening to an oiler?! Seems like the lid/cap part that screws on to the base is made of incredibly cheap metal for this to happen--maybe the chrome paint is coming off??? The oiler has been in the house the entire time I've had it because it's for a shredder---has not been exposed to the elements at all! Reduced score to 3 stars--cheap metal apparently.

Nozzle snapped as soon as I tried to adjust it. Poor construction. Perhaps the version of this can that has a non-flexible nozzle would be better, but not willing to give it a shot after how poorly made this version is. I sent this piece of junk back and after more research I bought a Reilang instead. The Reilang was about 3 times the cost. Was it really worth it in comparison? Absolutely! Reilang can is one solid piece aluminum with no seams. Reilang has sealed rubber gasket where top unscrews, making it unlikely to leak. Reilang squirts oil nicely. My advice: get a Reilang instead.Update: the Reilang is so good, I've just purchased a 2nd Reilang.

These things are awesome. Solidly made, the flexible neck works well. As others had said, one pull of the trigger pumps like an ounce of oil and it leaves the spout at 40mph. Makes it a little difficult to get the oil in the oil ports on my lathe (vs shooting it all over the lathe itself). I may pull mine apart and attempt to drill a small pressure relief hole in the pump valve If I can get the assembly apart.

Works better than the cheap ones I have bought and I like being able to put what I want into it. I have one for penetrating oil and another for lube oil. Much cheaper than buying canned spray lube and I don't have to worry about having a full can with all the propellant gone and no way to get the oil out. If you are a WD-40 fan, you can buy a bulk container and pour it in one of these and save big.

A simple proven design necessary for any handyman. I couldn't find this at the local stores so I thought I'd give this oiler a try. Filled with 10w-30, it works great on almost anything that squeaks. Being a non-aerosol pump, it's much safer and less messy than the canned, pressurized light oil you can buy everywhere. Once primed you can squeeze out just a tiny drop or squirt out maybe a 1/2 teaspoon. The flexible nozzle gives it great versatility for almost all applications and working angles. Tip it over and it will slowly leak but that's not a big deal, it has a wide enough base to resist tipping. Air needs to get into the reservoir anyways to prevent a vacuum that would stop the flow. A good product at a good price and...it's made in the USA!

Seems fairly well built. The pump works well, but is not suited for fine applications. It's difficult to get less than about half a teaspoon of fluid to come out with even careful pumps. Also, sitting upright and untouched for a couple of days I still had oil coming out of the tube. I'm not sure if this is due to temperature fluctuation or what, but I've taken to storing it in a small plastic bin so it doesn't mess everywhere. But other than that it's pretty well made and the pump is nice and smooth (albeit a bit quick). I suspect the leaky issue has a bit to do with the fact that I have it filled with arguably the best penetrating oil possible (50/50 mix of ATF and acetone. Way better than WD-40). The idea behind a penetrating oil is that it penetrates and lubes any gap it comes in contact with. The seals inside of this thing are no exception, apparently.

At last there actually is available a well made oiler. It has been one crappy import after another in the search for a decent small oiler. This one is made in the USA and you can tell just by looking at it that it is not an import. The construction is solid and the oiler works perfectly. It even looks good although, granted, that is not the primary factor in making an oiler purchase. Thank you most kindly Dutton Mainson for an excellent product and for making it in the USA. The packaging was perfect and the delivery was right on schedule. No complaints whatsoever.

My Dad has owned one of these ever since I can remember. Don't know if its the same company name, but design and function is identical. Along with the all metal construction.USA all metal construction with a good pickup of oil. Has check valve in the bottom of the pickup, so once you get oil flowing you don't need two or thee pumps to pick up oil, unlike some other lesser oilers. This lets you modulate the output at the tip into very tiny drops with just a minor squeeze of the trigger if you wish. The barest pressure on the trigger begins to push oil out immediately. Very nice.A fairly simple device for a fairly common use. Yet a basic good design and good materials makes it quite a bit nicer than other basically junky oilers on the market. If you have a need, get one you won't regret it one bit.NOTE: You do get the 606 oiler which has a flexible metal spout. That is what I wanted. The pictured product shows a rigid spout. That is the only difference.
