Awesome clamp! Really versatile for mounting on either side of the clamp. From L rods and cymbal booms or clamping it to any stand for an extra accessory using any 7/16-1/2" type rod. I used it to attach an SPD-SX to an L rod off a Drum Workshop CP9934 double tom stand. Everything is solid. The other piece of DW hardware holding the SPD-SX in the photo is the DW DWSMMG-2.Also just wanted to clarify from the other reviews... The wing nuts are just fine, for real. It's DW. ;)

This comes with a new wingnut from DW, that I really don't like. I wish they would've kept the older style wingnut, or at least included one so you could choose for yourself.
