The hard hat itself feels nice. It is lightweight for the style, and the adjustable band feels comfortable.My biggest issue is the ratcheting adjustment doesn't hold well for me. When tighten it to fit in wind, and slap the top of the helmet, the ratchet loosens. This makes me think that over time, the "teeth" in the ratchet mechanism will loosen even more and it will be too loose for normal use. I wouldn't use this for an everyday hardhat.If your safety gear doesn't fit well, you're less likely to use it.This may work if you have to have one for the occasional jobsite if you're a foreman, or only occasionally have overhead work (for me, it's for the occasional limb drop on the farm).My review process: 5*- Blew me away, features that are much better than anticipated (rare). 4*- Product is as expected, and good quality. This is a STRONG review. 3* - Product should function, but has minor flaws. (Average product) 2*- Product may work, but won't last long/cheaply made/major flaws/issues, item failure w/ some remediation from seller. 1* - Poor item/failure during use, or before, no remediation from seller.

Nice sturdy hat to use while trimming trees and general overhead falling debris. It feels like quality and protects your head well. I used it trimming some trees in the yard and had a limb fall on me. Protected my noggin just as it should.

I have to wear a hard hat most days and up to 12 hours per shift. This new hard hat is now my favorite. Good padding that seems to absorb sweat well. The ratchet adjusting wheel allows for a tight and firm fit without the need to make adjustments throughout the day.Comfort for me is the deciding factor, and this one is a win. I like the color selection and chose black.

No assembly required. Just slide it on, ratchet it up to suit your head circumference for the perfect fit, and get to work. Love the way this hard hat looks and feels for the money it is a great deal. Very cool.
