It’s not the best. It’s not the worst. I bought my kids pencils for school and they are cheaper if I sharpen them myself, so I did. All 60 pencils. I definitely had to empty it a lot. Every 2-3 pencils. It’s not the finest point I’ve ever seen, but it did the job I needed I guess. I kind of wise I would have gone with a plug in pencil sharpener instead of battery powered. Those seem to work better.

It sharpens quickly and neatly. I have had it for a few weeks now and it sharpens to a nice point. I like my pencils sharp. It's not too loud and the color during sharpening is a nice touch. The only con is that I thought it would be a little bigger.

The light up feature is very nice. The sharpener we got seemed to be defective but we were able to fix it and the customer service stepped up and offered a solution. It is not that easy to use (you have to hold it to be able to sharpen a pencil) but it is cute and fast. I do not recommend it for little kids but I would get for an adult that wants the basic functionality with a cute light.

It's cute and adorable. However the trick is to not press too hard when you use it. When my daughter first started using it, she would press down too hard and the blade would come off. It was tricky at first to put it back in place, but we got the hang of it. We love how it lights up. I would definitely buy this again to give out with coloring books and pencil crayons as gifts.

I’m editing this from my original below: It wasn’t worth the money. The motor only worked/struggled for about a week- after that it it sharpened about 2 SLOOOW turns and stopped. I replaced the batteries but even with brand new it did the same thing. It’s just a paperweight with lights nowSo it sharpens, however it seems to struggle a little.. the motor seems weak like it’s really working to sharpen that pencil! so not sure how long it will last. Good for plain yellow pencils only, I put a rainbow colored pencil in and the color used on the outside wraps around the sharpener and causes it to jam. It’s easy to clean and like that it came with a replacement blade. The kids like the colors though. It’s not perfect but for Less than $9 I’d say it’s worth it’s price though..
