Las Easy Wood Tools son a mi juicio las herramientas para tornear de más fácil uso para aficionados. La calidad es impresionante: nada que ver con imitaciones chinas baratas, que se anuncian en Amazon con el mismo nombre.

Great for roughing out. Really removes the material and is easy to use. (hence the name for the brand). I give it four stars, rather than five, due to the lofty price. It does work well, and is probably worth the $$$.

When I started turning about a year ago, I used the traditional tools and it took a while to get used to the handling technique. Even then I mainly used the skew as a scraper rather than a cutter as I had some catches which were heart stopping! Even though expensive, I decided to try the Easy Wood tools and bough this along with the Ci0 Easy Finisher. What a difference!! The tools are sturdy and cut extremely well. The advantage of the four-sided rougher is that you can cut with either the front edge, or one of the side edges as you move from sideways across the piece. It has increased my confidence at the lathe and reduced my production time, especially since there is no sharpening involved; when you think that the blade has given it's all, you just turn it to the a new side!I know that some traditionalists cringe at the thought of not sharpening, but this is akin to the days when one sharpened a hand saw - tooth by tooth. In my world, time is money and this tool is a time saver, but produces the results that I require.Ignore the initial high price as you make it back in time saved. Well worth it and HIGHLY recommended.

This is an outstanding tool. I have used normal turning tool and they don't hold a candle to this. Really easy to use. Easy to remove a lot of wood as well as to control finer cuts. I will definitely be buying more easy wood tools in the future.

This tool has revolutionized wood turning, with its replaceable carbide cutter. Not only that, but it is a beautifully made and finished tool, one that you feel good about owning and using. And it works extraordinarily well. Go to the Easy Wood Tools' website and check out the videos. No need to worry about sharpening it. When it gets dull--and that takes a long time, since the replaceable cutter is carbide--you just buy another cutter. Easy Rougher does exactly what the name claims, making short work of roughing out a spindle or a bowl blank, while all you have to do is hold it firmly and level on the tool rest. You can use it for a lot of other turning operations too. Its versatility is not limited to roughing. But best of all, Easy Wood Tools has made turning fun again. No catches to worry about, no bevels to rub, no sharpening. Innovation always brings critics, but it is going to be hard to find fault with this tool. Nobody really likes the roughing out process, and here's a tool that claims to make it easy--and delivers. I can envision a new generation of turners who have never experienced a "catch" and don't even own a grinder. Nothing wrong with that. This is, quite simply, a great tool.
