Circuit breakers protect the wires in your home from overheating (referred to as an overload) and fault currents (referred to as short circuits). The Eaton Cutler-Hammer Quadplex or Quad type Circuit Breaker is designed to create (4) circuits in (2) spaces. This allows for 240-Volt circuits. The BQC style breaker has a common trip as well as a rejection tab feature. These breakers are designed for use in BR type load centers and should be installed only in panel positions that have notched bus stabs that accommodate the rejection clip. Also, BQC circuit breakers are UL approved genuine replacement breakers for load centers made by Westinghouse, Challenger and Bryant.

This was a replacement for the original that had a bad breaker in position 4. Will not lock on or off. Returning for a refund this time.

I needed these breakers to replace a bad one. Could not find one local. Second time I have bought these and not one problem for a replacement.

The outer breakers of this, outside ganged, quad breaker are VERY HARD to reset when tripped. Tried resetting the tripped breakers by pushing to the full off position. Could not get them to reset. Thought it was broken so I bought a new one here on Amazon. Breaker arrived tripped. New breaker was VERY HARD to reset, but since in was loose in my hand I had much better leverage and managed it. Now realizing the actual difficulty I went back to the old breaker in the panel and pushed really hard. Breaker CAME LOOSE (unplugged) FROM BUSBAR without resetting!!!!! WTF!!! Pushed breaker back into panel/busbar with heal of hand. Tried resetting the breaker ONE POLE at a time (even though they are ganged with a flimsy clip). Was now able to reset it!!!! I strongly do not recommend this brand of breaker/panel!!!!!!! Returning the new breaker since it is no different from the old one!!!!!
