Good quality mats - I'm using these to grow arugala seeds as well as some flower crops. I've only used them once they are doing the job. I'm quite pleased with them, and hope they will be easy to re-use for subsequent crops - that's a key test for me.

These are great. You can put them at the bottom of a small watering tray, with the lip overhanging into a dish of water. You then put your potted plants on top of the tray and the plants will wick up the water through the cloth fabric. You can also use this to line the bottom of pots. I think it's great and has multiple uses, I highly recommend.

Works great! Cut it to size.

Plentiful package of felt to line the bottom of seedling trays. This had way more than I had a use for but the extra will keep for next year. This is good to line the bottom of the trays so that the seedling "pods" setting on top of them can soak water up to keep the seedlings watered without getting them oversoaked. Recommended.

This looks like the same wicking material that came with my pricey self-watering pot inserts. It is a little less than 1/8" thick felted material that should carry water and not get too tangled in roots.I have several large flower pots on my patio and I am trying to make them self-watering, using a ups-a-daisy insert and wicking strips up into the soil. Last year I used cotton fabric strips which worked initially but discinigrated by mid-summer. These should last longer; hopefully several seasons.

I bought these to line the jiffy seed tray that I bought from Lowe’s. Three and a half fit in the tray. They are good quality. This would also be a good liner in an African Violet tray.

These are handy because the mats allow water in a tray to "wick" into the soil of your seed trays. They hold the water without drowning your plants by otherwise sitting in inches of water. I would consider a cut-to-size option since tray sizes are not the same. This worked for my purpose.

Overall these were a disappointment because they don't fit a lot of the cell trays that I have. They are not conveniently sized. I have a significant number of Gardeners Supply GrowEase Self Watering trays. These are too short lengthwise by a few inches. You need some latitude on the ends to have the capillary mats lay over the platform to trigger the self watering feature of the trays. I can certainly cut a second mat to extend the length, but then I also have a bunch of deficiently short extra mats to contend with. Another downside is that the width of the mats are slightly too large by a half inch or so, which isn't a dealbreaker. I realize that not everyone has GrowEase Self Watering Trays, but they are a common size that many gardeners use in their seed growing arsenal. Look at the dimensions of your trays and measure before purchasing.

Just received these, and they are of much better quality than the ones that came with my original seed starter. They are thicker and sturdier. The problem is that they are exactly 13X8", and because they need to have an extra long end that will descend to the bottom of the try to wick water up to the plants, they should be 14" long or maybe a bit longer than that. Why didn't they make it longer than 13"? Otherwise these would probably be great.
