I use Schaller strap locks on all my basses. The design works very well and has never dropped an instrument. But the lock washer does tend to loosen and unscrew itself as you move, no matter how tight you think you have it. It causes the release/entry point to change as it unscrews. By putting one of these washers underneath the screw-on part (sandwiched between the Schaller washer and the strap) it provides enough friction to keep the washer on tight. Highly recommended

These strap locks are great! An affordable and simple way to keep your guitar secure. Just be sure to use a strap that has fairly firm strap button slots, because if you have a strap where the slots are weak and loose, your strap can still slip off despite being held in place by the strap locks.

These work great as an easy solution to decrease the likelihood of the guitar strap coming off of the guitar. I put them on all of mine and haven't had one come free since. Joe Bonamassa uses them live so they must be good haha. Thanks Joe!

I've uses several style tuner locks; and I think these are about as good any any you are likely to fine. They are easy to use, they keep your strap on, and they seem to prevent the strap from "tangling" much better than the more expensive strap locks. And they're cheap! What more can you ask. If you're looking for a strap lock; these things do what you need done.

They work and i have never dropped a guitar. They do not come off easily, you have to stretch it off. I also use Schaller strap locks on some of my guitars, but if you dont feel like drilling out a bigger hole in a guitar to put new screw in and/or dont like metals strap locks swinging around your guitar with the potential to scratch it, these are a cheap/old school alternative. If you are always removing your strap completely to put the guitar in a case, the Schallers would be a faster option imo.

These Grolsch style guitar strap locks work great and beat all the high tech gimmicks being sold by various companies. Once you put them on you should assume they will stay there - they are not a "quick connect - quick remove" system. I have a bunch of electric and acoustic guitars and a bunch of mesh straps made by Ernie Ball (see http://www.amazon.com/Ernie-Ball-4037-Black-Polypro/dp/B0002D0E92/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1438663168&sr=1-2 ) that cost about $6-7 apiece and work great. What more do you need in a strap? Unless of course your guitar is heavy and weighty on the shoulders. In that case I would recommend the "Strapp" padded guitar strap - I have two of those for one heavy Les Paul and my doubleneck guitar - this is a great guitar strap also. I recommend the "long" version of the Comfort Strapp as shown here - but you can measure your strap and figure which one matches your style and size the best (http://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Strapp-Bass-Guitar-Strap/dp/B000V1S316/ref=sr_1_3?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1438663339&sr=1-3&keywords=strapp).OK, enough "strap talk." The point is I use these Grolsch style rubber locks on all the straps and they work great. I at first had a problem with paying this much for little pieces of rubber but hey they get the job done and if you amortize the cost over the rest of your natural life you are paying less than 1/00 of a penny per day (this is an approximation without my calculator.)

I bought these Grolsch style "strap locks" to see if they were any easier to get onto the Fender guitar'sstrap buttons. I can report that they are easier to mount and the thickness may explain, in part, why.--- First, the stats ---------------------------------------------------:: 1 inch Total Diameter:: 1/4 inch Diameter Strap Lock Opening:: 3/32 inch ThicknessThe tactile reason they seem to be easier to use is they are much more pliable than the Fender StrapBlocks of, almost, similar size. The Fender Strap Blocks seem more like plastic, feel hard, and are lessflexible. The one size difference, by 1/32nd of an inch, is the thickness. That small bit of an inch maybe the culprit but they feel different as well. They seem more rubbery pliant which translates to being easy to move around and pull over the strapbutton. The best part is that they stay on the Fender's strap button which has a solid 1/4 inch thicknessallowance for a strap and/or strap lock. I had no difficulty getting them on or off the Fender strap buttonseither. Compared to the Fender Strap Blocks they are a lot easier. On the Gibson Les Paul putting them on was easy. Making them stay on was a chore. I had to carefullyuse a small metal flat head screwdriver to push the edge of the rubber gasket down into the strap buttonopening. You need a firm hand to do this job or you will put a scar into your guitar. The top strap button on the Gibson seems to be tenuous as to whether it will stay on or not. The bottombutton seems to be solid for some reason even though they are the same strap button. It appears thestrap ends are slightly different thickness. Ever so slight.I suppose you could take one layer of the strap end off around the opening and that could help with theBright Vision strap locks feeling more secure on the Gibson Les Paul's strap button. This I may do at alater time. I need to play the Gibson longer to see if that top Strap Lock will stay on or pop off.5 Stars for these BrightVision Black Rubber Guitar Strap Locks. On the Fender they work just right andon the Gibson they seem tenuous for the time being. Overall though I like the rubbery feel and flexibilitywhen mounting those strap lock onto my guitar. I'd buy them again.
