HEADS UP: This filter doesn't my 2004 Toyota Sienna! Well, I should say MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CURRENT FILTER before automatically ordering this one. After receiving and trying to replace the old one (which was a HUGE mess), I found the actual filter needed was the one advertised for a 2003 Toyota Sienna - a tray design rather than a box design. I still gave 4 stars because I'm sure it would've worked great had it fitted. There's also a possibility when the vehicle was purchased many years ago (not new) that the air conditioning filter unit had possibly been replaced with a 2003? If so, it was not disclosed. As the new one got dirty trying to install, before I realized - I'm guessing it cannot be returned. Enclosing a not great pic of the very dirty old used one for reference... :/ I did clean it up and reinstalled until the correct one arrives!

This is the second time I have ordered this filter brand and it works great. Have zero issues with installation and fits perfectly. I can always tell when I need to change the cabin filter because, it starts to smell a little musky when I’m using the AC or heater. I can’t say how long the filter lasts since I don’t drive around a lot these days but, a new one will last for a year or more for me depending on usage. When it is new and fresh, it does a pretty good job of knocking down outside odors when I’m stuck in traffic or occasional drive by the dreaded roadside dead skunk lol. I’ll keep ordering this as long as I have my car or if I buy a new car that requires a cabin filter.

Although not a brand I was familiar with, the reviews for many of the Ecogard products looked solid and the company has a Massachusetts address, so it was worth a try for our main family mobile. The van is a Toyota Sienna (POS, but that’s a tangent best not belabored in this review) that I have been using Fram cabin filters for some time, but have always felt the quality was lacking. That their oil filters are generally not well regarded (prefer WIX) is not a good sign.The online images of this filter appeared to show it had more pleats and a solid end to the frame, which in my addled mind equals better sealing in the frame. Coupled with a lower cost than the Fram, it was an easy choice to at least try.Installation was easy and it does appear to seal the filter to the frame, giving me more confidence in the cabin filtration (although not HEPA, of course). Only a few days of use, but I will revisit the review if there are any issues.Definitely recommended over the usual brand.
