Unit worked well initially and paired well with other similar sets, and the one I purchased prior, however after one year of use they became seriously glitchy with poor battery talk time. As of two days ago, they will not pair. Volume button will not work.

No range issues on a soccer field. I've done a three games in a row without battery issues. Sound is clear and after using on higher level games I always want to use them. I had them for one season before the pandemic so once we start games again I can attest to the durability. A little funky to pair at first (watch the youtube video). Once they are paired they stay paired. I bought a 4 hub USB charger so at home I can charge all 3 and my ball pump at the same time, also I can use that charger in my car if I have time or distance between games to top them back off. The charger I bought is convenient because I just leave the charging cords attached to that and carry it that way from my home to car or visa versa. I bought a bag of foam ear caps and replace them / wash them so I'm not asking people to wear the caps that were in other people's ears.

I used these for the first time tonight in a soccer game. Clarity was exceptional. Pairing is easy using the instructions provided by another reviewer.I found these to be clearer and maintain a more solid connection that the V4/V6 sets which I have used before but do not own. The sound quality was as good as Yappalongs which I have used before, and may have had a little more volume. Not a huge fan of the earpieces, but found that using medical tape to secure the earpiece and microphone to my head and face kept everything in place.I wish I did not have to bend the microphone to fit in the case and also have to squeeze everything in to their cases. Already looking at buying a waterproof case like the Seahorse 230 or 300 with pluck and pull foam big keep my set safe and speed time to assemble/disassemble and pack up.I am very curious to see how many uses I will get out of these before the battery dies as the instructions do not provide any indication on whether or not it is designed to be user replaceable.

Used for soccer matchesNegative: Almost always has background static. And after about 7 uses, one headset would constantly stop working during a match. Even though it would work fine for 20 minutes before it was really needed.Plus: batteries last forever (so far)

I use these com devices as a soccer referee. There are a lot of positives and a few negatives. More prositives than negatives. Therefore the 4 star review. I’ll begin with the positives.1) Small and light weight - the Comm devices are extremely lightweight and small. They fit on my upper arm and can hide underneath my short sleeve uniform with ease. You can’t really feel the comm device on your arm and you will be able to run without it sliding down with the included armband. That is a huge positive.2) Battery life - On a full charge, with continuous use, this radio can last 4 full 90 minute games. With included breaks. So a total of 8 hours. The listed 12 hour battery life is not true. Charging does take a long time (3 hours). There is no quick charge feature.3) Open Mic and pairing - Very easy to pair the devices. I love the open mic capability as I don’t have to worry about missing a call from my ARs or vice versa. Makes refereeing the game a little bit easier with both the AR and referee being on the same page.Negatives:1) Earpiece and Mic - The headset is built ok. Nothing special like a Vokkero. The included around the ear hook does not work very well. Highly recommended that you purchase ear fins. That will help keep the earpiece more secure. If not, it will fall off your ear or you will be messing with it all game. The mic is not all that great. The wind diffuser helps a little, even with the whistle. I haven’t had any issues with ARs telling me the whistle is too loud in the earpiece. However, if there is a lot of wind, good luck communicating. You can barely here sometimes. Plus you will hear more static than anything else.2) Connection - For the most part, the connection is rock solid. However, the link (master comm) will always need to be the center referee. This will cause a small delay when you do multiple games and there’s a different center each game. I’ve noticed that when the link moves around, the connection is solid but the volume or reception is very low. So The above statement is how I come to find to make the connection work.Final comments - For the money this is a great starter set. It’s not a Vokkero, Yapalong, RefComm, etc... but for the referees who are just looking for something solid without breaking the bank, this is the vest thing. $500 for a set of 4 to include Mics.To make this set ideal, get rid of the included boom mic. Invest is the RefComm headsets $150 each. More durable and the sound quality is excellent. Your getting in and around the Spinsto set price range (with the better headsets) but overall still cheaper.4 stars for the positives. 1 star dedexuted because the headsets are nothing to write home about and ear fins are needed.
