I took a star off for the scratches. It appears all units are like this though. This blower's advantages are the multiple powering methods and the speed controller it comes with. I wasn't expecting much but I actually really like the speed controller and feel it provides good value to the overall unit. The fan itself is nice as its metal -- albeit thin-ish and the fan blades are metal as well. I've use this outside to get my smoker going faster and to help light wood when not using a chimney. The metal casing makes me feel confident in using it for somewhat heat stressful applications.

This is a good blower for the money, don't let the other one star review complaining about scratches deter you from getting this. Yes, there are some scratches but the performance of the blower is really good and the speed switch make this even better. At the time of purchase, this listing was the cheaper of the handful of other listings for this blower.

Actually, they work good but they got a lot of scratch and I have picture they look not new
