I've been using this blanket at night in my car and it keeps me warm without even having to plug it in. When the temperatures don't into the teens I plugged it into the lighter port and I was cozy all night. FYI, if you use it over night make sure to start your vehicle every once in a while or it will drain the battery.

This product heats up fast but it does not get very hot.

Gets just warm enough to give you a little heat. In conjunction with the blanket itself it does fair. Blanket does NOT come with the control switch as shown. But for the price it works.
