I used this frequently while travelling and it worked fine heating water (if a little slow). Then after a little over a year of use, it just stopped working. I was very careful to never plug it in without being properly submerged in water. It just broke.

Takes awhile to boil water in a mug, but for travel it worked great! It’s small and compact.

I got this as recommended on a "get these things for a better cruise" list and it rocks when plugged into 220V. 3-4 min heating 16 oz water in a thermal cup. We used it a lot. I will come with us on 220V vacations.It also works on 120V, but the electrics math forces you to wait 12-15 min to heat the same water.

It appears to be well constructed. Maybe it is. I tried it 4 times- I wanted a cup of tea. It is so slow to heat water that I lost interest in tea before the water boiled. F minus
