If you take many road trips, you’ve learned hotel rooms can be unpredictable, especially if you are relying on a pullout bed or a folding bed. Sometimes they are uncomfortable. Sometimes they are not even there even though you reserved one. This is why an experienced road tripper carries an air mattress in the car.There is one problem with an air mattress, and that is the task of blowing up a whole bed with nothing but ones lungs. It’s exhausting. So the answer is a portable high-volume air pump like this one.This air pump is nice for some specific reasons:SizeThe air pump is small enough to hold in one hand. This means it won’t take up much space in the luggage.LoudnessAir pumps are loud. This one is a bit quieter than most.Inflate/DeflateThis pump allows one to pump air into or out of something.SpeedIn testing, the pump inflated a standard twin size air mattress in 41 seconds. In 26 seconds, it was able to suck all remaining air out of the same mattress when it was partially deflated after releasing the plug. (Note that the motor was working extremely hard toward the end of both tests.)AdaptersThis pump comes with three adapters that will allows one to inflate a wide variety of things.AC/DCWhat really rocks about this AC/DC air pump is that it can run off of an automotive or stationary power source. It comes with both power cables. The DC feature will be most appreciated by campers. One disappointment is that the AC power cord is only 3’. A 6’ cord would have been much better.The DC power cord is 5.5’. That is almost long enough.In conclusion, this is a nice little pump to have in the car. It is small, and I do not see any signs of superior quality. The motor probably has to work really hard and will probably not last forever. I would not want to use the pump for everyday applications, but it is fine for travel. I expect it will do fine for occasional use. I wish the pump came with a carrying bag, but it doesn’t. I guess I’ll keep it in the box in which it arrived. Still, it’s a good pump, and I recommend it as a convenient travel item for occasional use.

I love that this pump has an Inflate port, and a deflate port, to quickly remove the air when putting toys away. It comes with three sizes of valve adapters to ensure a good fit. I comes with two cords, one that plugs into an electrical outlet, and one that plugs into the cigarette lighter of a car (or, whatever they call that port now). It has an On/Off switch.What i did not love: the outlet cord is very short: only 36". Luckily the cord that plugs into the car is much more generous: 66". I found using the device to be very cumbersome. I had to use an extension cord, and had to hold the pump and the inflatable together the entire time to unsure it didn't become dislodged. I like that the three valve adaptors are connected to each other so they won't easily become lost, but they were also in the way when trying to quickly remove the pump and, at the same time, secure the stopper of the inflatable before the air escaped, once inflation was complete. There was a learning curve for that feat. Another issue was the placement of the On/Off switch. It's directly beneath the Inflate port of the pump, so while you're holding the pieces together to keep them secure, you have to push a button that's right in the center of all that activity.I think this device would be MUCH easier to use if there was a short hose from the pump to the inflatable so you don't have to hold onto the pump, and can more easily keep the connection secure.

Electric pump for inflating and deflating is perfect for the multiple swim and camping mattresses, balls and beach equipment. It produces a quick inflate, as well as, a strong suction for fast deflating, which to me is the pain when it comes to completely deflating items for storage and packing up ease. I love that I don't need to work with air hoses that don't fit. The 3 sizes of nozzles attached together is super helpful for quick changing when inflating or deflating several items at once. Its nice having both an electrical plug and a vehicle power cord for use when there's no electrical plugs nearby. It's a little small but truly more than adequate for uses outlined in description. Highly recommend this pump for its function ability as well as its size for easy no fuss storage.

I use this to inflate our camping mattress and for that purpose it works great. It is made out of a decent plastic and not cheap material that would easily break. It has multiple adapters so I can be used in many different applications or specific needs. The air flow is fast it gets the job done quickly but it is not blowing down doors or anything. It's moderately loud but that is to be expected with these. I've used it over 20 times I want to say and it continues to function properly and efficiently. I have even dropped it a couple times on accident and stepped on it at least once and it's construction held together.
