Better off with weed whacker line. I have a wire fence. Maybe ok for small yard without cement or wire to trim around.

The brush cutter light weight and well balanced, cordless, battery powered, the extendability of the operating lever is also very good, I can't find any faults with it, it's worth recommending as a garden pruning tool.
