As others have stated, the water bowl is too shallow for cats that drink a lot of water during the day. It holds just over a third of a cup before the water begins pouring over the front edge. If your cat eats primarily or totally dry food, it will need more water in a day than this bowl can hold without spilling. The food bowl is great for dry food foraging to keep a cat from eating too quickly. Be sure to clean the crevices of the bowl where old food can get trapped. The wide-open design is good for keeping the cats’ whiskers from rubbing against the inside of the bowl. The bowls are heavy and come with anti-skid mats so they won’t slide around.Because of the shallowness of the water bowl limiting the amount of water that it can hold I’m giving it a four-star rating.

There are some flaws on the exterior, the water bowl spills easily, but otherwise everything is fine.

I cannot say enough good things about this cat slow feeder – it has completely transformed mealtime for my little furball! I used to worry about how quickly she would inhale her food, only to end up with an upset stomach or worse, vomiting. But ever since I introduced this slow feeder into her routine, those issues have completely disappeared.

Very cute bowls. Elevated feeders really are nice for helping with digestion in my experience. I use the slow feeder bowl for my girl who eats to fast and it seems to really work for her. I don't use the water bowl for water, I just use it for another feeder bowl. They are a nice size and I do wash them by hand. The little mats that come with them are handy as well.

I had been looking to purchase raised food/water bowls for my cat when I stumbled upon these. Not only are they super cute, but my cat took right to them without issue. I like the embedded fish shape in the food bowl since it helps slow down her eating (she is prone to scarf and barf). The water bowl can be a bit tricky. If you fill it directly from the sink, odds are you will spill water out of the bowl when you place it on the floor. I now pour water into a cup, and then fill the bowl while it is on the floor to prevent spilling. It also doesn’t hold much water, but my cat doesn’t drink much water and she has never finished all the water and been left thirsty. The silicone mats are a great inclusion, though they appear to be trivets/pot holders repurposed for pets. I also find the wet food sticks less to the ceramic surface versus my old stainless bowls. I would recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their current flat bowls.

So far so good! We've been using this feeding bowl for a month now. Our cat likes it and she has not vomited once since we got it. I love that it is made of porcelain rather than metal. It's easy to clean. It comes with a little silicone mat so it doesn't slip around on the floor. It's the perfect size to hold a whole can of cat food if needed. And it's well-balanced and stable - no risk of it toppling over. Would definitely order again!

These cat food bowls are not only adorable but also impressively sturdy and easy to clean by hand. While I can't comment on dishwasher performance due to lacking a dishwasher to test them on, they wash very well manually. My cats readily used these bowls and seemed to prefer them over lower, traditional designs.

I have tried a lot of different bowls and other feeders for my dog and I am a harsh critic. I have a 10 lb dog that is missing all of his front teeth. As a result, he struggles to eat from a regular flat bowl. His trainer recommended elevating his bowl or getting angled bowls to see if it would be easier for him to manipulate the food into his mouth. I tried elevating his bowl but he was still struggling. These are PERFECT, high quality, and he actually eats out of them. I still use a regular stainless steel bowl for his water, so I just swap these out every day and wash one while I use the other one. However, I LOVE that they are microwave and dishwasher safe. I haven't microwaved yet, but I feed my dog homecooked food, so it will be great to be able to reheat in the dish without having to scrape the food into a separate container and reheat in there.Whether you have a cat or a small dog, I would highly recommend these!

This set of elevated bowls works well for my cat. The wide, shallow dish is perfect for cats with sensitive whiskers, and the elevated level promotes better digestion and reduces vomiting. The textured bowl is great for slowing down eating speed.Bowls look cute with the little ears and feet. They do tip a little more easily than other elevated bowls I've used, but it's not much of an issue unless you have a cat that likes to really bump the bowl over or you tend to knock into it a lot.Ceramic washes up easily. If you put them in the dishwasher the base does fill with water but drains and dries quickly
