This is a very nice A5-sized leather folio, which can accommodate top bound ("notepads") and side bound ("notebooks") pads, and with a lot of options for stashing pens and other note-taking tools. It's made out of nice leather, which smells lovely. It's quite thick - it is designed to accept large books if need be, but that also means it is suitable for a normal pad and quite a few pens, which is great for me since I'm a pen dork and I like having options. The stitching seems to be solid, and it has taken a few rides in my bag without coming out all scratched up, so I'm guessing this will build up some character from use rather than just getting shredded - this is not a product you want made out of butter-soft leather, and indeed they went with something that should stand up to use. My one mild complaint was that the zipper on my folio was a little hard to pull around the corners, but a bit of paraffin wax got it running nice and smooth.

This is a beautiful leather organizer. It’s a little bit smaller than I realized it was, which was a little bit of a bummer at first, but this is really convenient and compact to carry around, so it actually has its benefits. The leather is supple and high-quality, and there’s an abundance of nooks and crannies inside to put credit cards, writing utensils, notepad, etc. The zipper is tight, but I expect it to ease up a little with use. Even so, it feels very well-made and very durable. This is a classy, beautiful leather piece to carry for business, or when you’re trying to put on a bit of a more upscale look. As with all of this company’s products that I’ve received, they really excel with the attention to detail and the high-quality materials.

I really appreciate that the leather is ethically sourced from other industries so no animal hide was used in the making of this organizer. However, the chemical smell when you get the portfolio organizer is overwhelming and it takes a few days to dissipate. Another negative is the zipper. Maybe due to the type of material used, it can get hard to open and close especially when you hit the corners. I like the color and the organizational aspect but I am not sure how this will hold up in the future. On the plus side, it looks good and it's convenient for carrying a notepad and pens on-the-go.

I own a few leather products from Elizo and I like them all, so I decided to give this zipper portfolio a try. It's not bad, but it's easily my least favourite item from the brand.What I Like- Nice leather exterior that looks and feels great.- Interior pen loop near the spine.- Generous size for various notebook thicknesses.- Useful internal pockets (most of them, anyway).What I Don't Like- Useless features: Consider the removable pen insert as a nice extra to be used elsewhere -- there really isn't enough room inside to store four pens unless you're using a really skinny notebook. The internal zipper pocket is a waste of space -- with additional pockets in front and behind it, there is little room to store anything of substance inside and the zipper just adds bulk I could happily do without.- Finicky exterior zipper. I tried a few notebooks before settling on one that is 1.25" thick. With anything thinner, the zipper is difficult to open/close. Quality is not the issue, but it just feels tight, and if the contents are slim, I have to push down on the portfolio to pin it to my desk with one hand while operating the zipper with the other, or without the benefit of a table, I have to hold it against my chest with one hand while operating the zipper with the other. It's not the end of the world, but I certainly hope it loosens with continued use.I realize that the "I don't like" section s the biggest part of what I've written, but don't let that fool you -- I still like this portfolio, but I wanted to detail the things that you cannot see in pictures to help you decide whether you'd like to buy or not.

I used to have a carry on suitcase that had a zippered pocket on the front near the top of the bag large enough to hold my boarding pass, passport, a couple pens, my wallet, keys and any other small sundries that I might need. It was easy to have what I needed at my finger tips when going through TSA and checking in at the gate. It was a great organizing space for me. My more recent carry on bags do have a front pocket that starts further down the front and are considerably deeper. They're not nearly as convenient for such things because of their size, positioning and depth. When I saw this portfolio organizer it dawned on my that this could be the organizing device I needed to replace the other suitcases pocket.Elizo A5 Leather Zipper Portfolio Organizer is a full grain leather zippered folio that has enough slots, pockets, zippered compartments and loops to organize all my travel needs and put them at my finger tips for when I need them. It has several card slots for my credit cards and ID's, space for pens and pencils, money, passport, boarding pass and any other papers you may need. It has a spot for a 5x7 pad of paper that I converted into an 8" tablet holder (using self stick velcro on the back of the tablet and onto the folio). The tablet always is prepared with some movies and documentaries for my entertainment on those longer flights. The folio fits perfectly into the front pocket of the carry-on. I have all my travel tools in one place except for my phone which stays in my front pants pocket. Once I load it all up, I have no need to keep a wallet in my pockets either as the folio has all that and cash too.This portfolio is as handsome as it is practical and is the perfect traveling companion. The natural leather will get more beautiful as it ages.

Great way to keep your notebook and pens on one location and the fact that it's 100% real leather and perfect size for little hands was it's main selling point for me! It's very stiff at firt but over time it will wear in and become mine! Also, conditioning is important! And also helps with the stiffness.
