I have an outdoor patio heater that uses a 20 pound gas cylinder. You would think that would add enough weight to keep the heater from falling over in a stiff breeze / wind. Well, it doesn't. So I needed to add weight and this sand/water box looked like a good solution for me. I ordered one, from the company that built my heater, but had to send it back as it was missing parts. I got this one instead and its quality seems to be on par with the more expensive unit I sent back. Also, this comes with the four bolts you need to secure it to the base of your heater, as well as a screwdriver to use. Nice touch. It is easy to install (depending on your heater, of course). I had to remove the tank to install it on mine, but was finished in just a few minutes. I filled it with water, but you can use sand or a mixture of both if so desired. The hole to fill the tank uses a plastic screw-top equipped with an O-ring. Today we have been having some gusty wind, and the heater seems to be doing better than it did before. This is something I should have purchased, when I first bought the heater, as it would have saved me from some damage when it fell over.I'm quite happy with this water/sand tank. It is priced well and fits as good as the previous (and more expensive) unit that I returned. This is worth consideration if you have need for some extra ballast.
