Overall, I find this to be an excellent value at current listing price under USD $9. I encourage everyone to add this item to their 72-Hour Get To Safety emergency supplies bag. While this 8.6 ounce (244g) bivvy shelter/tube tent (weight includes nylon draw string/camlock closure carry bag) is great for emergency use, it absolutely is not well suited for use in heavy winds – much less tornadoes! I don’t find it to be practical for use by 2 full sized adults – but it’s extremely useful for a single user. As with all survival tents of this style, you’ll need appropriately spaced trees or other supporting verticals and staking items (not included) to hold this tent up. It’s also worth noting that reflective mylar interior will reflect some body heat back to tent occupant(s), but material offers no insulation from heat lost via contact with the ground (you’ll need insulating materials under you to help stay warm).U.S. Quarter Dollar shown for sizing comparison. I hope you found my comments and photos beneficial in your considerations.

For the price and size, it's an easy thing to buy and pack in your get out bag. It's super light weight and can be deployed quickly for an emergency shelter. It will NOT provide any substantial insulation, but if you don't have an alternative, you can pack organic material (leaves, pine needles) to help with that. This is not a tent to go camping with, just a quick short term shelter. Always a necessary addition to an emergency kit.
