I bought several – – – one for myself and one for my son and his wife and his daughter. The one for my son will go in his workshop I imagine or in his truck so that there’s problem on the road. The one for my daughter-in-law will hang in the kitchen probably as I have mine in my kitchen or laundry room. The one for my little granddaughter who is now in college is for her college dorm room where she has a microwave and a hot plate! I think it could keep someone from being burned and stop a fire from burning the building down.

These are some pretty standard fire blankets as far as their size, shape, and red hanging bag. They do have a few standout features in comparison to some other fire blankets though. They are quite well made and are of a good decent thickness with nice smooth hemmed edges. These are definitely made well enough to be reusable. They are also clean. Meaning that when you pull them out fiber glass dust doesn't go flying everywhere like with lower quality blankets. Also the red hanging bag is well made, compact as possible, and thick. These are smaller blankets at aprox. 3ft x 3ft. They are perfect for quick and easy deployment for small fires like a stove fire where larger blankets could be cumbersome. Even though these do come clean I still suggest you take them outside, pull them out, shake them out, and inspect them for flaws. This is something you should always do with a new fire blanket so that you know it does not have any flaws and is ready to go when needed. Overall these are some excellent small fire blankets. They are something that every house, business, and shop should have on hand. I'm quite happy with these and I do recommend them.

I keep trying to figure out how to review this product without starting a fire or catching my house on fire to review. I will say that it came in a thin, bright red bag. It would make it easy for me to see in case of a fire. It's thin so I can pretty much place it or store it anywhere close to places that have a flame. The blanket felt light and made me question if it could stop a fire, but again I am not trying to start anything so that I can review this. It seems easy enough to me to pull the blanket from the red pack and throw the blanket on the top of the fire. Overall, I don't know if this is a better or worse product than other fire blankets and I hope that I don't find out.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered these, but they seem to be very high quality. The bags are a very sturdy nylon with a heavy duty grommet on top to hang them in a convenient location. When you need to use it, you grab the two black straps hanging out of the bottom and pull them down and apart. This will pull the blanket out and open in one quick action. You will want to mount the unit VERY securely because you want to be able to pull down hard enough on the tabs to open the Velcro on the bottom of the bag as you pull the blanket out.The blankets themselves are a heavy fiberglass weave. Size is 1 meter by 1 meter (approx 40" square) so you should be aware of that before you pull it out to cover a fire.We have several devices in our house that use lithium batteries (Including two ebikes in the garage), and these blankets are about the only thing I have seen that work well on battery fires. We plan to put one in the kitchen and one in the garage.

These fire blankets are an excellent addition to anyone's home fire protection equipment list. I have several fire extinguishers but wanted to add something like this because these are simple as easy to use.Construction:- The seams are well done and the straps are firmly attached- The product is about 1m x 1m so it is true to size. This size should be good for most residential stove tops.Ease of use:- As mentioned above, these are very easy to use. While I have used fire extinguishers enough to be familiar with them other members of my family are not and it would be much easier for them to use a fire blanket for a stove top fire.- As you can see in the picture, these are easy to mount. I have mine inside a pantry door that is close to the stove but far enough way. For mine I am just using an over the door hook.I am very pleased to have gotten these fire blankets. I would consider these to be the first line of defense in putting out a stove top fire followed by fire extinguishers. I will be buying more for other members of my family.

I like the genuine nature and function of this fire-blanket. It is exactly how it was advertised. I like the fire-red color so it is easily seen and that it can be hung up for quickly deployment. I see that it has two black straps hanging out the bottom and when these are pulled on, the blanket drops out the bottom of the cover. I think the Velcro strip is good, because it holds the blanket in until the straps are pulled on. I do recommend a quick downward jerk to get the Velcro to release. I like the blanket material. It is a woven glass type cloth, which is not only fire resistant but also heat-insulating. This means that if you have this between you and fire, it also shields you from the high heat radiating from the fire. It also means you can get closer to the fire so you can lay the blanket over the blaze. I particularly appreciate this blanket's material, because I am familiar with it. I have used this type of material to protect my floor when I am using a soldering iron. It protects and prevents fires from starting. I assume that this blanket could also be used as a fire prevention device wherever flame or high heat is being used. Overall I am very pleased with the fire blanket and I plan to store it right next to my fire extinguisher.
