It’s the product you hope never to use, but every home should have one. Conveniently hung near our gas stove at the ready should we ever have to put out a grease fire. Simply pull down on the tabs, walk towards the fire behind the shield of this blanket and lay it down over the flames — then turn the gas off. Fire needs heat, fuel and oxygen. Starving a fire of oxygen is the quickest way to put a grease fire out since it cannot be cooled fast, nor can the grease fuel be removed while it’s burning. This very affordable blanket makes me feel safer in the kitchen.

This is the second fire blanket I have ordered because I needed one for the kitchenette in my lower level. The first thing I did was test how easily it came out of its cover bag using the pull tabs. The two tabs worked well. I then carefully looked to see how it was folded so that I could get it back in to the bag. Finally, I shook it to make sure it would open quickly in the event of a fire. I did have to shake it really hard but it did open. Getting it folded up to go back into its bag and, hopefully never actually use, took a small bit of time but I eventually got it. I think a fire blanket is a really good choice for keeping a safe home and for the cost, this one is a very good value.

Always wanted to buy theses .. I’m happy because you never know if your fire extinguisher will really work because you can’t test it . One in the RV too

I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while. This is one of those things you hope you don’t need to use, but you’re glad to have it when you need it. The blanket itself seems to be a good size and Well made. It still folds up nice and compact inside the bag. The straps dangling out of the bottom make it easy to grab, pulling down and out allowing you quickly spread out the blanket for use. This is an excellent design feature. The front is printed with clear instructions along with pictures. It’s easy to hang preferably in an easily and quickly accessible place. I have mine in the kitchen hanging behind one of the cabinet doors near the stove. This seems to be a quality product and is an excellent value for the price. I definitely recommend.

How exactly does one write a review for an item that you admittedly haven’t used, and hope you never do?I can basically point out the obvious physical features that anyone can see once they’re actually holding this fire blanket in their hands: it has grommets on the top in order to hang on a wall or close to a normal heat source (kitchen stove, wood burning stove, fireplace, welding station in the garage, etc., and it has two black tabs sticking out of the bottom and above them, it has instructions to pull the tabs in order to release the fire blanket from the red cover. But without knowing whether I can get the blanket back into the red cover, I’m hesitant to pull it out. So…I can say that everyone who buys this fire blanket is putting their lives in the hands of this particular manufacturer (FJNATINH). While they apparently have a thriving business in kitchen utensils, I found no indication that they have any expertise in fire suppression, prevention or other fire safety areas.This is the only reason I gave this fire blanket two stars. If I’m going to trust my life and the lives of those around me to a fire blanket, I want to know that I can trust this company and WHY I can trust them to keep me safe.

It's hard to know how to rate a fire blanket. I wasn't planning to set anything on fire just to test this out. Hopefully, I'll never have to use it, so I'll never have to find out if it works or not. But for now, the price was good, and it gives me some peace of mind that I have it.

Review of: FJNATINH Silicone Fire Blanket 1Pack, Emergency Fire Safety for Home and Kitchen - 40" x 40"I hope I never need to come back to update this review with an account of using this on a real fire! Having said this, this fire blanket seems to meet all of the requirements of a proper fire blanket. It's large enough at 40" x 40" to cover most small fires when they first start before they grow out of control. The two straps hanging from the bottom make it easy to pull out of the sleeve quickly and easily. The blanket itself looks to be well made with no problems with the stitching on the edges. Every home needs one or two of these!

I have seen ads for fire blankets for some time. Finally I got this one, and I'm so glad I did. The size of this is one meter by one meter which is approximately the same as one yard by one yard.The blanket is in a red bag which has a grommet on top so when can hang hang it up somewhere where it's easy to grab should you need to fight a fire (e.g., in the kitchen).It has velcro on the bottom of the bag and two black tabs sawn to the blanket with which one can pull out the blanket out of the bag. I think it's a great design and so important to have. Highly recommend it!
