I love all of the possible things that this emergency radio does or is capable of. I ordered it for my daughter who lives in Texas. She recently called in the middle of the night to tell me that their power was out and the tornado sirens were going off. She was hiding in the master bathroom with her two dogs. She needed to go into another part of the house and was able to use this flashlight to get there without bumping into furniture. I’m so relieved that she had it and it was ready when she needed it!

Our power goes out at least two to three times a year in our area so we make sure to have emergency lighting and other essentials on hand. As I was checking out this emergency radio, I was surprised at how good it sounded, not only does it sound clear, but it picked up AM/FM stations really well. One important tip: Think about where you’ll store this radio so it stays charged and ready when you need it. We keep ours in a south-facing windowsill where it gets plenty of sunshine. We also tested the hand crank - I’ll be honest… it was a workout to keep turning it! But I like knowing we have that option. There are a lot of buttons and features, so I recommend keeping the instruction booklet handy, especially if you don’t use it often.I noticed as I’m writing this review that the orange one I selected is not available for purchase, the colors are now dark green, grey and red. I chose the orange one because I felt like it would be easier to spot because of its bright color.Item Reviewed: Hand Crank Emergency Radio - Upgraded 16000mAh/59200mWh Solar Portable Weather Radio AM FM NOAA with 3 Mode Flashlight & Reading Lamp, Headphone Jack, Cell Phone Charger, SOS for Emergency, Orange

I live in Western North Carolina in one of the hardest hit areas of Hurricane Helene. Although, we never expected a hurricane to do as much damage as it did, I also realized I was totally unprepared to live without electricity, nor did I have the means to find out what exactly was happening in my community as I had no portable radio. I promised myself I would be prepared if another emergency hit my town. Although, I do suggest everyone prepare for the off chance something would happen. This Multi-function Emergency Radio would have made my life so much easier! It has an AM/FM radio. The only communication I was able to get during the storm was from a radio station but I would have to sit in my car and run the car to listen. As everything was in a cash basis the last thing I wanted to do was use my gasoline in my car up. It also has a flashlight with different brightness that of course been handy as we lived with our electricity for over a month. Along with the flash lighting’s a reading light for the nights you have no electricity and no TV. It is able to connect to Bluetooth but I can’t think of a situation (yet) that I would use that. It does have a solar panel for charging as well as offering charging with a USB cord. The solar panel would have saved me multiple trips to the town center to charge flashlights and phones. If there is no sun it also has a hand crank to charge it. They do suggest using this only in an emergency. It also has the ability to charge your phone. This unit is small in size but huge in benefits. It also has a compass on top if you loose your way. This little machine had everything I needed during the storm but unfortunately I did not have it at the time. Prepare for any emergency with this small device before you need it. I wish I had this in my arsenal when the storm hit and the long month ahead. I have decided to leave this in my car on the off chance I would have an emergency while I was in the road. It’s also easy to access if I need it indoors. This little gem has it all! Get this before you need it as this has it all except Wi-Fi!

The device is solid built. The internal battery is not 16000mAh…. It can recharge my iPhone 14 Pro about 1.5 times. Phone has 3200 mAH battery, so if 50% conversion, 3200 x 1.5 x 2 =9,600 mAH battery. Sound pretty good and LED lights very focused and bright. I am happy.
