This is a must have for any severe weather state. It is solar powered but can also be powered with batteries or winding it up. The flash light is very bright and the radio is crisp and clear. This is a perfect for any storm shelter or emergency kit. small enough for even small apartments or dorm rooms.

We're keeping this in the go bag, and accessible for power outages. To me the primary benefit is the weather radio, and then for longer term power outages or if you're actually needing to be away from civilization then the power bank and flashlight come into play.It feels solid and seems well built. The solar I doubt will generate much power from it's size. The hand crank would likely be capable of recharging, but it would certainly take a long time. Feel like both of those are super unlikely to be needed, but nice to have if you actually do.The weather radio is great in case you are in a storm and lose the power, and the light of course with the huge battery will be nice as well. The AM FM works, but I'm not old enough to listen to the radio anymore, but it is there and it works. It's a bit spendy on the surface, but I'd price it against a similar power bank, then add in the extra stuff it has, and the price makes more sense.

I'm so pleased with my Puyinii emergency crank solar powered weather radio!!This is a must have for anyone who lives in the midwest during tornado season!Weather where I live can change extremely fast especially during the spring months, so it's wonderful to have an emergency NOAA AM FM portable radio for emergency situations. If my power were to go out, there is a solar panel on this weather radio that I can use to charge my phone, and it also has a flashlight that is very bright in case the power goes out. The radio function is also handy to hear local updates, or just listen to music if need be. I appreciate that sort of functionality and such a handy weather radio. This weather radio does so much more than just keep you updated during emergencies, it will charge your phone and provide light for you if the power goes out where you live.Overall, I would definitely recommend this awesome solar-powered crank weather radio that can charge your phone or be a flashlight. This would also be a great thing to keep charged up in a car in case of emergency.

3.5 stars, but since that is not offered, I rounded up to four. The three bands of the receiver (AM, FM and Weather Band) function as represented; however, the speaker has poor sound quality. Earphones provide much clearer sound. The earphone jack is monaural. Receiver sensitivity appears adequate for local stations.I’ve charged it with USB cable input and by hand cranking, but have not yet had a chance to try out the photovoltaic (“solar”) panel. I expect it would best for just maintaining a charge, since it is pretty small. The description refers to the jack panel on the end as “waterproof” but it merely has an unsecured rubber flap over the panel and is in no way waterproof. The so-called SOS feature is useless. It’s not SOS, just an undulating siren sound and flashing light; and, neither are strong enough to be of any value. The half-inch diameter compass and magnesium stick fire starter attached to the carrying strap are likely useless, too. The designer got carried away with gadgetry. In general, the radio does work. It is; however, overpriced.

I had also just gotten this emergency hand-crank radio/flashlight when a transformer blew and power was knocked out to our entire neighborhood. It was pitch black, and the flashlight on this device made a huge difference (especially since we couldn't find any batteries for our flashlight!) . Luckily, I had charged it a couple of days earlier when testing it out, so it was ready to go.The flashlight is incredibly bright and easy to use. We didn’t use the radio or other features that night since we wanted to save power for the light, but I’ve since explored them and am really glad we have this device. That night was a wake-up call, and we’ve started putting together an emergency kit for the future. This little radio is definitely going in the stash.Very grateful to have had it and would highly recommend!

We have a 72 hour emergency kit ready to go at a moment's notice. We had an old hand crank radio/light in there, but the rubber finally started to rot and get sticky, so it was time to get a new one. This was a great replacement. This one includes the weather bands as well as AM and FM, which my old one did not. It also includes charging ports, so in a pinch you can crank your brains out and charge a phone with it. The radios and lights work well. I have not tried to hand crank a phone to life, but when you charge this via USB, it acts as a power bank just the same. Great build quality, and lots of functions. Highly recommended.
