The wallplate is same white color as Sensi thermostat and features a soft-curved front to complement the look of the thermostat. The wallplate measures 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" and will cover most paint or wallpaper issues left from other thermostats.

I’m disabled and spend most of my time upstairs in my room. My thermostat was downstairs. Very diffilcult for me to live with. But I got someone who knew how to install it properly, he took about 20 minutes, and now I can control my ac or heat from my bed using an app on my phone. Perfect! Think of all the people who are disabled, or pregnant, or sick or maybe the elderly? This puts the power in our hands to control our own comfort without sacrificing pain, or stairs or discomfort. Works perfectly!

The main reason I was looking for a new thermostat was that I was getting older and the numbers were getting hard to read. I saw this Sensi Smart Thermostat did some research and found out it had a good rating from several independent organizations. It was pretty easy to install. I just had to review the wire instructions as my system is a heat pump HVAC and the common wire was different on my old thermostat. The actual installation process took about 10 minutes. It was easy to sync it to my WiFi and in no time it was up and ready to go. The size of the numbers on this thermostat is about 5 times larger than they were on my old one. I have the Sensi app on my cell phone and tablet so I can control any changes from them. It can also be connected to my Alexa devices but I have not tried using that feature yet. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase of this Sensi Smart Thermostat.

Was a bugger to get programmed (could be used error) but once we had it set up it's working nicely. Handy to make adjustments with the app or through Alexa. A definite upgrade to the old one we had and our utility company gave us a rebate since it's an EnergyStar.

We needed a new thermostat as we were installing a new air conditioning unit. I asked my daughter what thermostat she got when she got her new furnace installed. She told me about this one. It doesn't require the extra wire and connects easily to your home wifi.NOTE: You need to turn off any VPN you might be using on your phone and you also need to connect to a 2.4 ghz wifi signal. We have both on our internet as some devices use the lower signal. You need to download the Sensi app and that is how you set up the wifi. The app truly walks you through the steps to get everything running.Do yourself a favor and take a picture of the flip side of the thermostat before you install the thermostat as it contains an 8 digit code as well as the thermostat serial number. I was able to get a rebate through our electric company and needed that information.I like how easy it is to program and that I can check it while we are away. Also, if your power or wifi happens to go out, it will continue to use the current program until the power or wifi comes back on. I like that the I can see how many hours a day our a/c is running and I also get a monthly report. You also get a reminder to change out your furnace filter. Our power bill has gone down since we purchased this thermostat. Definitely a win/win for us.

This is a basic smart thermostat, large numbers, easy to read...esp when you're older that's important. User friendly. I've had it for a month but I love it so far. I hired someone to install it, took them 15 minutes, the app was easy to install. I would buy it again.

44 year old woman and installed it myself, so it isn't difficult.I can control it at the thermostat or through my phone. What I love most is that I can change the settings so that it can ONLY be controlled by my phone and then I don't have to worry about the kids constantly running up my heating/AC bill because they don't feel like dressing for the weather! It also sends very helpful reminds for maintaining my system and changing the air filters regularly. I plan to buy my parents one for Christmas.
