I purchased a set of these in Burgundy Red and a set in Black for making egg cups. They work wonderfully for egg cups! Unfortunately the warranty does not cover a clumsy room mate. If it's dropped into the sink while washing it shatters and the game is over for it.

A couple arrived broken. They were on sale for better than I could find locally and I wanted this color so I just ordered another set and threw out the broken ones and still did better price-wise than at the mall kitchen store … But I do think Amazon sent a package that had been previously returned due to broken parts, which is a shame. The product themselves are great though. We use them a lot.

Emile Henry products are never disappointing. I have many of their products and have been happy with all my purchases. As always, they are made in France never in China so, the quality is never an issue. I highly recommend all EH products and these cups will be an excellent addition to my collection.

Yes, they are ramekins, but I also like to use them as condiment bowls (a salt cup (aka salt pig)). The red is beautiful and of course, it's made from the Burgundian clay as all the other bakeware. It charms my countertop, full of kosher salt.
