This makes light work with vegetables, fruits, and cheese. The build quality is nice and sturdy, and the blades are sharp for cutting. It is very easy to clean and works very quickly. I love how the cheese comes up and makes it feel like the restaurants.

It took me a while to warm up to this grater as I wasn’t a big fan of the way it looks. I expected it to be smaller somehow… but I am enjoying it the more I use it. Definitely more about function than anything else. The vacuum base works really well on my laminate countertop and is very necessary. It grates cheese and veggies very quickly, much more quickly than by hand. I will say that the piece that pushes the food into the chute is stained orange from grating carrots. 🥕Whatever I am grating does require some prep work so that it’s the right size to go into the chute, which is a little small.. but the trade off is very fast grating. It seems well made and is easy to take apart to clean. I am slightly weary about the handle limiting the lifetime of this kitchen gadget. I worry that it could break after a while.Right now the sale price is around $25, I think that’s a good price for this piece. The full price of $49.99 seems too steep given that it’s entire made of plastic.

But actually using it leaves a lot to be desired. I've already thrown it in the trash... the bumper around one of the blades came off which made that blade unusable. I couldn't get it back on.... Also trying to turn the crank while also trying to push the food down the chute is a bit more difficult than I'd like to do. And it came un suctioned a few times while I was trying to use it too... I'm going back to an old box grater .

Let me tell you, this mandoline slicer saved both my fingers and my marriage. I used to go into battle with every slicer we brought home—sliced veggies, sliced fingers, and eventually a sliced-up kitchen budget from tossing yet another “dangerous” gadget into the trash (thank you, Hubby). But this one? It’s a keeper. Safe, sturdy, and shockingly smart, this slicer now holds a VIP spot in my kitchen arsenal—and my husband hasn’t had to play mandoline referee since. What I LikeThe design is actually safe (imagine that)—my fingertips are finally retired from combat dutyComes with a whole buffet of blade options for everything from scalloped potatoes to veggie ribbonsStanding design makes it more stable than the wobbly nightmares of slicers pastCuts evenly and cleanly—no weird lopsided slices or produce dramaEasy to rinse off and tuck away when you’re doneConcernsThere are quite a few parts, so keep them together or you’ll end up on a blade treasure hunt. Wish it came with a storage bag. While sturdy, it still takes some counter spaceDoesn’t yell at you when you're about to use it on a too-soft tomato (but we can't have everything)Final ThoughtsIf you’ve got a history with slicers like I do—meaning you have trust issues and a drawer full of bandaids—this mandoline might be my redemption arc. It’s the first one that didn’t scare me or my husband. Efficient, cleverly built, and honestly a little fun to use, it’s turned food prep from fear to flair.

I ordered this and then regretted it because the last thing I need is another kitchen gadget. And then I used it, instant favorite.I have every gadget you can think of but I don't use most because they're a pain to set up, clean, and put away. They all just sit in the cupboard. This one will not be that way. It was so easy to put together, I didn't look at the manual until after the fact the manual was well written though. It's a very simple assembly, nothing tricky. I shredded an entire block of cheese in under 1 minute. It was so easy. I then used it to shred some cooked chicken for buffalo chicken dip. Worked like a charm. The blades are sharp. It was so easy to use, nothing got stuck, and it was easy on the joints and hands unlike a traditional grater. The real test though, how easy it was to take apart and clean. Everything rinsed off like new and then ran through the dishwasher for sanitation. This will be a gadget used very frequently because it was just so well engineered for convenient and efficient use.

Smaller than I thought it would be but it does a good job. Easy to clean and change the blades.

This mandolin slicer is the first one that I agreed to use. I have always refused to use earlier ones because the way the food is sliced always makes me worry about slicing or scraping off parts of my hands. That is not an issue at all with this mandolin and I am delighted with it. It has a chute for the vegetables while they are being sliced, and my hands go nowhere near the blades.Using this mandolin is simple as is the set-up. There are five blades and of these, I use the Julienne slicer the most. It makes the most satisfactory slices for my noodles and salads. The rest of the blades get used as well. The matchstick one is fine for curries and salads too.I like that there is a container to keep the blades safe. Clean-up is a breeze as it is dishwasher safe. This mandolin is bigger than others, understandably so. It has a larger footprint, but I am fine with that. Its usefulness far outweighs any inconvenience that the larger size might cause. Mine is already in the area in my kitchen where I store the most frequently used items. Good product. The woman demonstrating the product though - why do these people smile so unnaturally widely and unnecessarily? Ugh. Makes me feel like she believes I have a lower level of intelligence because of which she needs those exaggerated smiles and gestures to communicate with me.
