This thing so far has been sharp and done the job with no issues! It comes with a safety guard if you’re interested in using that, otherwise you just need to be very careful and watch your fingers!Size is decent, we shredded cabbage on this with no problems, and it isn’t too small or too big. Easy to use and cleaning was a breeze.Overall i definitely recommend!

I like this slicer and the way it's designed. The handle is easy to grasp and the cutting is safer than the other grater I have from awhile back. I've lost all kinds of body pieces to that one and enjoy the holder, which has spikes in it to poke the vegetables or whatever it is you're shredding. This keeps the hands free from those sharp edges, so there's very little chance of my body pieces joining my recipes! Easy cleanup also!

This is razor sharp, as a mandolin should be. I always wear cutting gloves when I work with a mandolin, but I cut my thumb just unpackaging this mandolin (removing the tape from the main blade).ProsVery sharpDecent set of blade attachments (my last mandolin only had the cutting blade)ConsWhile well-intentioned, the storage of the other three blade attachments underneath the mandolin is imperfect and impractical. The grater attachment was loose in the box, and no effort to put it into place secured it well. Since the user must remove the extra blades to wash the mandolin after every use, it doesn't make sense to store them on the underside of the mandolin in the first place. I have a "kitchen appliance attachments" box; it will be less of a hassle to store the extra blade attachments in something separate such as that.I find the hand-held design to be clumsy when working with a sharp mandolin and more likely to result in getting cut (if not wearing two cutting gloves). My old mandolin had a base (into which the food fell as it was cut). I think that safer and easier to handle.

The handle comes separate, it is quite easy to install. This mandolin slicer is a convenient size. The extra cutting blades store underneath the cutting surface. Be careful when cleaning, I was sure I knew which way the cutting blade was facing, oops.I grabbed a russet potato, cleaned and peeled it. With the slicing blade in place I proceeded to make the thinnest slices ever. In no time I was through the entire potato. My slices were perfect for my thousand layer potatoes. Next I used the wave cutting blade. Again, very smooth & quick cutting. Same with the shredding blade, nice long shreds for my hash browns. When the potato is large I free hand the cutting and use the guard as it gets smaller and puts my hand in closer proximity to the blade.Overall a welcome addition to my kitchen tool assortment. More consistent slices than what I can achieve given my knife skills. Be mindful when using and cleaning this tool, don't let yourself get distracted.

This ZHANG XIAO QUAN mandoline slicer surprised me with its quality-to-price ratio. While it's not the most advanced mandoline on the market, it delivers impressive performance for its price point. The stainless steel blade is plenty sharp and makes quick work of vegetables and fruits. I appreciate the versatility it offers - you'd typically need to spend at least twice as much to get significantly better options or adjustability. The comfort grip is a nice touch that makes it easier to use for longer prep sessions. If you're wondering whether a mandoline fits your cooking style or just need something for occasional use, this is a perfect entry point. No need to invest in a fancy expensive model if you're not using it daily. For basic slicing needs at an affordable price, this 3-in-1 tool delivers results that exceed expectations. A solid kitchen tool that doesn't break the bank.
