The stock carburetor from the factory is designed to meet Import Regulations ... not peak performance. Once you install or modify an exhaust or intake, you have put your bike into a leaner condition that will eventually destroy your engine due to heat from running lean. If you notice any popping, you are extremely lean. Our jet kit provides the parts and installation instructions to enrich all the circuits in the carb, to fix this problem, and add performance you can feel in the seat. This is a comprehensive jet kit, addressing all throttle positions, throttle response, and each kit is custom made to your bike and its modifications. No lie… I had some reservations on just how effective this 6 sigma kit would be. HOWEVER, I did as instructed and sent them the exact make, model, year and ELEVATION. After installing on my wife's bike (Kawasaki Vulcan EN-500 parallel twin), it went from not being able to get out of its own way to outrunning its own shadow!!! From pig to rocket. It used to take 1/2 hour to get the bike warmed up enough to get off half choke without stuttering all over itself. When we bought the bike, it would rev up as soon as you pulled the clutch in to stop at a light or sign (lean scream), this would make my wife extremely nervous (it's her 1st bike). I brought it to the local shop and they pulled caps off the fuel mix screws and supposedly richened the mix, but it was of negligible improvement. I honestly hated the bike for the way it ran and the problems my wife had trying to ride it. It took me about 2 hours total to pull the carbs, clean them, do the mods (following instructions verbatim) and put them back in (I took my time). It fired right up on choke and was fully off choke in 30 seconds (not minutes). It now idles smoothly and throttles like all bikes should. I took it for a ride and it ran like a 4-cylinder 500. Super Super impressed with how it runs now. For a small bike (I'm a big guy), it’s now fun to ride... even for me! This is a MUST HAVE for any EN-500 owner!!! Fast ship. I had no problems with the instructions... YOU HAVE TO READ THEM! In fact, I probably read them 3 times before cracking the carbs open. And no, I am not compensated or have any affiliation with the seller... I was desperate to fix this bike and took the chance. Otherwise, we were going to sell it or trade it in on something else. I'd buy again in a heartbeat if I needed another kit. My beemer is fuel injected... otherwise I'd have bought one for my bike too. Thank you 6 Sigma!!!
