Bought this as I was fed up with adjusting print head wheels and dealing with flat spots etc. I was aware that these rails can be more of an easy life upgrade than improving quality and was also very aware that some of these cheaper kits had some dubious machining on the carriage itself that caused a lot of people problems, so I bought this entirely expecting to have to return it.Nope, it went together way easier than I expected! The chassis came with options for different DD extruders, (something the Creality kit did not offer) that I was even able to bolt my very modified Hero blower setup to with no hassle. The rail itself comes with a mounting bracket that makes alignment very easy, unlike other kits I had seen that required some sort of alignment tool.Due to the way the carriage mounts, you will need to bring your Y-axis stopper forward a bit as you'll find your nozzle will now sit about 1cm in front of your bed when at the home position. The rail and carriage are much better quality than I was expecting, there was no play in the carriage and the carriage body itself looks reasonably well machined with bearings that were all the same size. This is where the ugly bit comes in. The reason I know about the bearing sizes etc, is because I had to take the entire carriage apart to clean the oil that the manufacturer drowns it all in.This is why I would say this upgrade is not for those who may not be comfortable with taking apart very small parts as you will need to clean that oil off properly and re-lubricate with decent oil/grease before installing. I cleaned a ton of grungy oil soaked deposits from the rail guides and the bearings themselves, this is what destroys these carriages and is the reason why the carriage felt a bit grindy when first opened from the packaging. So, if you don't have shaky hands or sausage fingers and you have a bit of patience, there's a bunch of Youtube vids that can show how to take these apart and clean them etc. I'm very happy with this upgrade so far and will be looking at switching the Z & Y for rails eventually too!

I spend maybe 30 minutes installing this. The up side is that unlike others being sold this one has rail plugs installed. I received a kit from a different vendor that did not have the plugs and the bearings were all loose in the package because the rails came apart in transport. This one was an easy install, instructions were lacking beyond step 1 which defined which screws to use. The remaining steps did not call out which to use.My only complaint is the screws for the back side of the X-rail only include 3 screws instead of the 7 clearly depicted in the installation video. Not that you would be able to use more than the "stock" 2 on an unmodified S1 pro because without drilling the rail there is no place to install them. There is no mention of the need to "drill" in the advert however if you wanted to use all mounting holed you would need to drill out your rail.Suggestion: offer a kit that includes ALL SCREWS pictured in the video as well as a pre-drilled x-rail for those that cannot or are not equipped to drill their rail.

No tengo experiencia con los rieles lineales, pero hasta ahora todo bien. Fluye más fácil y rápido la cama. Fué fácil la instalación, aunque faltaron algunos detalles en las instrucciones

I wore out the original POM wheels on my Ender 3. I've been doing a lot of upgrades and changes on it. When I realized that I couldn't tighten it, I had to make some decisions. I could replace the wheels, and then replace them again in 8 months. Or I could upgrade to the linear rail. Obviously, I went with the linear rail.Stripping down the stock carriage was probably the hardest part. The instructions aren't bad, but it could do with a few more lines. The big one is, it didn't say which side of the angle bracket goes up. Try aligning the rail to it. The rail only aligns with the holes on one side, and that is up. Also, the side with threaded holes is for the rail, and that still goes up. If you try to do it wrong, you'll find the screws are threading in where they shouldn't, or you can't screw the rail in.There has been a product upgrade, that isn't reflected in the item photos. The part of the carriage that holds the extruder stepper has options. There is a bracket for the stock extruder to be in the stock position. That's what I'm using. I printed a bracket to handle the offset for my dual extruder. The second looks just like the stock bracket, except it is shifted over to the left a bit. According to the instructions, that's for the BMG extruder. And the flat plate is for the Titan extruder. You can also opt to just leave it off, if you are using the stock extruder and bowden tube. This is actually *GREAT* for me. As you can see, I've been printing parts, to move things around. I will likely design and print some replacement top brackets, to move the extruder for other hotends I'm testing, so things can stay lined up nicely. I already had that grey bracket, for the stock carriage. If you're using one of the thicker dual gear extruders, that bolts onto the stock stepper, you'll need to add a spacer behind the hotend, to offset it by 2mm or so. There are a world of options here. Hopefully you have a spare printer to make parts, or you'll have to disassemble and reassemble your machine repeatedly to get them all done. :)On the lower half of the carriage, all of the stock holes are present and in the stock locations. It has one extra threaded hole on the left side, possibly for the pro or v2. It doesn't have the bolt heads that are present on the stock carriage, but nothing should require them, you'll just have some gaps in your hardware. So moving. It's perfect. Without the belt on, it just glides left and right. There is absolutely no off-axis motion. Exactly what you want. Once the belt is on, the motor is the biggest restriction, which is again exactly what you want.Getting my belt on was rough. I had to remove the idler pully from the right side, hook up the belt, and then squeeze the pully into place and reattach it. You might be able to do it with loosening the X stepper too, but that seemed like unnecessary effort. Some comments said they had to make a new belt, but it isn't necessary. I have replacement belt material, I just didn't use it.When you're reassembling the rest, make sure your wires go up, on the left side of the stepper. Secure them as shown, and they won't get pinched in the frame. In my picture, I have custom brackets, in yellow and grey. The yellow one is to handle the larger blowers for hotend cooling, and part cooling. The grey bracket on the hotend is to compensate for the difference in height from the screw holes to the top. And the grey bracket the BLTouch is on, is necessary to lower the BLTouch to the right position for the bottom end of the hotend. Those will all be on Thingiverse eventually, but aren't yet until I've tested them more.

First off, the aluminum plate is great and all hardware plus spares are included and correct. Now for the reason for the 1 star review. The linear rail was extremely crunchy and took alot of cleaning and lubrication to get it to work at least somewhat decent. This is by no means my first time taking linear rails apart and tuning them so i know i did it correctly and lost no bearings yet i believe that some were missing. After working on it for longer than I have ever had to on any of the other carriages i finally decided that it was good enough. I installed rail and affixed bed and belt and to my surprise i noticed that the bed could be moved 1/8" after everything was tight. I took everything apart thinking it was something I did and after redoing everything multiple times I found that the carriage is loose on the rail as if the rail is too small allowing for play in a twisting motion rendering this completely unusable and a waist of a day. Very unacceptable. Hope the seller will correct this.
