This is made of quality material. I tested the fire retardant quality. It definitely works. I just held a torch for a few seconds. I didn't throw it into a bonfire. I has 2 sets of alphabet tabs (with 2 letters on each tab except OPQ and XYZ which have 3 letters on each) to use on the expandable folder part of it for 24 compartments (25 if you count the one in front). Not sure how much paper it actually holds to have so many compartments. I will probably make some different tabs to accommodate my needs. It did come with some extra blank white tabs. It has a velcro strap that holds the file part closed. I has a zippered compartment with mesh on one side. There's a little flap that can hold a pen, 6 spaces to hold cards and 4 little mesh pockets that could hold thumb drives. The other side has a wide file space that is not divided and has a crisscross mesh space that's divided into 4 sections that could hold half-sheet of paper sized documents like passports. The pictures show a zippered pocket on the outside but there is no pocket on the outside.

This file organizer is very handy to keep your important documents, cards, passports, etc. It puts all your important items in one place so that you can grab it and get out in an emergency.It does function as a place to file all the 'can't lose' stuff together so that it will be easy to find items and can store HD backups of files. No more tearing through all the drawers, etc. trying to locate them. It has plenty of room for keeping a large amount of docs.The case is also fireproof and does look like it. I am a little unsure about the zipper area though since it doesn't have enough material there to really block out fire. I may be wrong, but it sure isn't protected like the sides and bottom are. Being fire and water 'proof' helps as it is better than nothing and gives some extra protection in case of disaster.I got this to put all the important stuff like birth and marriage certificates. house and vehicle titles, insurance papers, wills, passports and anything else you want in one place for easy access.Even if it isn't completely fireproof, it is better to at least have something.This organizer is well laid out and I do recommend it to at least get all the important stuff in one place and I give it 5 stars for that alone.

Got this as a means to storing important documents – in an effort to safeguard them from environmental risks / factors (such as potential fires, flooding, etc) – and so far, it seems to be great.As described in the listing – this folder is covered in three layers of silicone-coated fiberglass, which can withstand temperatures of up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit; obviously, this is difficult for us to test, so it’s hard to say if this assessment is accurate – but materials feel quite heavy-duty and seem to be water-resistant (at the very least), so we feel fairly confident that it would remain undamaged under most circumstances.As for the folder itself – we were quite surprised by how large it was, in person; that said, in some ways, it could also be seen as quite compact, given how much it actually fits on the inside! It features an expanding file folder, with 25 pockets (that’s kept closed with a velcro tab). It also includes 1 larger main (expandable) pocket with attached mesh, 1 medium zippered pocket, 6 card slots, 4 mini mesh pockets and 1 sewn-in pen holder. Entire organizer is zippered and also has carrying handles.Overall, this appears to be a really well-made ‘emergency’ file organizer, great for protecting sensitive documents and items – would recommend!

Really nice file holder, well made, holds a very decent amount of files and other items. Multiple pockets for different documents. The file section has open bottoms, so plan on full sheets only in that part, small items might not stay in their designated file spot. But the extra pockets are good for small items so that shouldn't be a problem.

You could hardly do better than to have one of these portable fireproof cases on hand. I keep mine next to my much heavier and bolted-in home safe so that in case of an emergency I can grab my essential documents, place them in this case, and get on the road quickly. Of course, you can also use this at home or elsewhere in place of a small safe, but doing so won’t provide you the extra security of a locked safe.All in all, this is a great choice because it’s made of quality material, is fireproof, is water resistant, provides ample storage room, provides multiple ways to organize your documents, is lightweight, and is easily portable.
