The string bridge lower side towards the 1st string, the higher side towards 4th string.
Put the bridge in the middle of the sound hole.
Make sure the bridge vertical standing under the string.
Tune the strings in tune.

This is so much nicer than I thought it was going to be. My daughter is trying to figure out what instrument she wants to play in the band next year so we've got a few different ones to try. This violin kit has everything. Her music teacher was very impressed with it. I did pay someone to put it together though. I wasn't going to take the chance that I might mess it up. She'll try it for a few months and hopefully this will be the instrument she chooses. It's a really good price for everything that you receive. Like I said her music teacher was impressed and had me send her the link for other students.

This violin kit comes with everything you need to get started, but it really gives you an amazing foundation. So much so, even a long time player will tell you it plays great once it's all set up.Things to note:This comes pretty much disassembled and will need a fair amount of effort to get set up and put together right. Luckily, I have a friend who knows their way around this sort of thing and got me going in short order. Bridge placement is mighty important, as well as rosin'ing the bow plenty. This impacts the playability the most, so really want to watch a video on how to do it right. Then you have to set up your strings and tune it which was also new to me so glad I had the help when it came to setting it up.If you're looking for a great starter Violin, this thing packs a punch and at such a cost, makes it feel very high value to me. Highly recommend it!
