I need this for travel and for use on cruise ships, especially for the extra USB ports to charge my devices when traveling. This can also be used at home here in the USA as a USB charger for multiple devices because it has a USA-compatible plug too.My experience on cruise ships is that some have both USA-compatible plugs and overseas compatible plugs, such as UK, but most ships have limited/few outlets per cabin. So I can plug in my USA devices directly into the USA-compatible plug and then plug this type of device into the UK-compatible plug, thus doubling my outlets, so my wife and I can both charge our devices at the same time.This plug supports up to 45 watts. My experience so far at home is that I can charge multiple devices at medium speed, and certainly overnight, my phone and tablets are at 100% in the morning.I’m not certain it’s needed, but this also comes with its own little zip up travel case.

After just returning from a trip to europe without bringing a travel adapter, I immediately ordered one when I got home. While I have yet to test this one out on foreign soil, it did work great in my US outlets. This adapter appears to be well designed and sturdy, and even comes with its own perfectly sized travel case. It has 3 different prongs that you can toggle using the sliders on the side. You have to press down on the sliders to change them, so they will "lock" in place otherwise and I noticed that these types of adapters tend to stay put better in loose outlets where other plugs might fall out. It also has multiple inputs, which is so important because you can then charge a phone, laptop, earphones, portable battery, etc. all at the same time. Especially when you're staying at a hotel/airbnb that doesn't have a lot of outlets to plug into. I will note that the adapter is a bit heavy and bulky, so it might block a second outlet or it may not fit into tight/awkward spaces, but almost all travel adapters are big and bulky so that's unavoidable. I think this is a great travel adapter and I'm excited to have it on hand for future trips.

I ordered this converter for a trip to Ireland and haven't used it yet, but I really LOVE the functionality and design. The fact that the ONE converter includes options for Europe, the UK, Australia, and the US makes this perfect for my trip since I'll be visiting both the Republic of Ireland (uses the Europe version) and Northern Ireland (uses the UK version). It also includes standard "plug" AND USB options. All together, it's a great design with multiple converting options all in one small package.

I do a fair bit of domestic and international travel and I love this style of adapter. One of these is a permanent fixture in my travel kit no matter where I'm going. Domestically I use it just for the USB ports, while internationally the USB ports are still useful plus the adapter allows me to use my US plugs in outlets from virtually any country.This is a 45W PD adapter with a wide capability of voltages as can be seen in the tiny print on the back of the device (see photo). This is enough power to fast charge just about any phone and also to charge most Chromebooks and up to mid-range PCs. Note that it might not be enough to keep up with the needs of more powerful PCs if you're using them while charging. It is worth checking the power rating of your laptop's original adapter to understand its required power rating.A couple of things worth of note: unlike some other adapters that have dedicated high and low power ports, all ports on this unit are capable of fast charging. The unit comes with a nice little zipper pouch to keep it protected from dust (personally I don't find this to be very useful).While charging my laptop I noticed some considerable voltage drop. You can see this from the photo - the laptop is calling for 15V but the adapter is only delivering 13.9V. This can be an indication that the adapter is struggling to keep up with the power demand, but I didn't have a more demanding device to see what happens if the adapter is pushed to higher power.Finally, it is really important to understand that this is an international adapter, NOT a transformer. This means that it does not change the voltage that passes through it. If you plug it into a 220V outlet in Europe, then plug your American hair straightener designed for 110V into the front of the adapter, 220V will flow into your hair straightener. This will destroy the straightener if it cannot handle 220V. Many electrical products in America are rated for any voltage between 100 and 240V (safe for international use) but many are also rated just for 100-120V (not safe internationally). The acceptable voltage range will be printed somewhere on the device or a label on the cord - check the fine print.Overall this is a very useful travel adapter with a nice look and feel. While there are similar adapters with higher power ratings, these tend to be larger so there is a tradeoff of size vs. rating.
