Made in partnership with the Gibson Custom Shop, the 1958 Korina Flying V is Epiphone’s impressive recreation of one of the most famous and valuable vintage guitars ever made. It brings authentic 1958 Flying V details to guitarists everywhere at a breakthrough price. Like the ultra-rare original Gibson models from 1958, it features a solid Korina body and a Korina neck with a long neck tenon and a 1958 Flying V neck profile. It is also equipped with an Indian laurel fretboard and gold hardware. The electronics are also top-notch, with Gibson Burstbucker 2 and Burstbucker 3 pickups wired to individual volume controls and a master tone control with CTS pots and a Mallory capacitor, along with a Switchcraft 3-way pickup selector switch and 1/4” output jack. An Epiphone x Gibson Custom logo on the back of the headstock is also proudly displayed, and a hardshell case is also included.

I bought this guitar with the original (in my mind cooler) coffin case during the pandemic for 700 dollars. I love this guitar except two things; the white plastic nut, and the polyurethane coating on the neck. The original nut completely shattered during a string change, but that gave me a reason to change it out for a Graphtech black Tusq nut, which I highly recommend. This guitar has brought me so much fun and joy; and it was great seeing Alice Cooper guitarist Ryan Roxie play this during the concert. I'd look around on other sites or local shops to see if you can get one for a lower price (even used), but it's a great production guitar! And so pretty in person.

Chitarra splendida, peccato che mi è stato consegnato un esemplare danneggiato.La verniciatura del manico presentava una crepa molto evidente, mi domando come abbia fatto il reparto di controllo qualità a farsi sfuggire un difetto cosi grande.
