Daughter is in love with this guitar. The blue is so vibrant. It’s also very light weight. Came with the accessories she needed and I free trial to an app to teach her as well.

First the good:This blue guitar has a really cool design that was exactly what a 16 year old boy was likely to find cool ... and he did. Once we finally got a replacement, the guitar plays nicely, and we like the carrying case and accessories that came with it.The not so good:Unfortunately, the original guitar I ordered came with a bowed neck that we would later learn was unrepairable. I contacted the customer service right away (a few days after Christmas). They told me that we had to take the guitar to an authorized service location and sent me the address for a Guitar Center store in Tucson. My girlfriend took it there in the middle of January when she was already traveling for other errands. Guitar Center determined that it wasn't fixable, gave us a receipt and kept the guitar. I assumed Gibson (who makes Epiphone guitars) would take care of things from there. But that's when the run around started. First Gibson customer service routinely ignored my emails. Then when they finally responded, they told me that I needed to go back to Guitar Center (a 150 mile round trip), get the guitar, and mail it to them so their warranty center could evaluate it. After some back and forth and talking with the manager of Guitar Center (who was very nice and very helpful), Gibson agreed to send the label there and let them mail it to the warranty center. Guitar Center mailed in the middle of February. Two weeks later I called Gibson and was told that yes, the guitar was faulty and will be replaced but they don't have a shipping date yet ... check back in a week or two. No "sorry", no "how can we make this up to you?" no nothing. Even back at the stage where the guitar was in Tucson, they acted like it was my problem to get it to them. We finally got the replacement guitar in mid-March (almost 3 full months after Christmas). As I said, it's a nice guitar with a cool design. but after dealing with their customer service, I'm not sure I'll be ordering any future guitars from Epiphone if I have a choice in the matter.
