These spring collets are made of high quality 65Mn spring steel for CNC milling lathe tool and work-holding engraving machine. There are 3 collets of various sizes in 4mm, 1/8" and 6mm. Collet must be placed into collet chuck nut before inserting into collet chuck.

These fit right into my CNC router and give me some additional bit flexibility for projects. Good stuff.

I don't yet know about the 1/8" collet, as it came with the set and I figured it would be a spare. The 4mm collet is only used to clamp an indicator stem, so runout is of no concern. However, I needed to clamp a 6mm dowel pin into the 6mm collet to set location on an aluminum extrusion on my machine, and noticed right away the terrible runout (probably .020" TIR by naked eye). I even tried a different ER-11 nut, but saw the same results. I could not machine anything using this collet.
