This collection contains many solos that are excellent for early intermediate adults and teens. I can't say that I like every piece in this book equally well, but it does have a good amount of variety, and it gives students a selection of music to read through that you won't find in most method books. As with most of his compositions, these pieces are specifically written for pianists of this level, rather than watering down something harder, so they have a more authentic feel to them even if they are full of stylistic clichés. The lengths of the pieces are 2-4 pages, so just enough to seem like something special, but not so long that they appear intimidating to an early intermediate student.

Love it! Love it! Love it! It is just right for intermediate pianists. The arrangements are beautiful. Dennis Alexander is a great arranger.
