I live essential elements I've used there books now for close to 20 years. And still nothing wrong with this book but even their book 1 has some of these songs and they're better written. Up on the house top as the one that stuck out the most as a littler odd to me. But if someone has literally just picked a flute up yesterday this would be a great book.

C'est bien fait. J'ai acheté cela pour ma petite famille (un cahier pour trompette, un pour saxophone alto et un pour trombone). Pour chaque pièce, il y a une version solo (la mélodie) et une version orchestrale pour jouer en groupe. Niveau très facile, parfait pour de jeunes musiciens qui sont à leur début. Plaisir garantie. Vous pourrez faire votre petit spectacle en famille avec vos enfants et impressionner grand-maman.

My son started playing clarinet in August and was bored already of band because he already plays piano and caught on quickly, so I got him this book. He was able to play all the songs by December, which made him happy (and helped him improve on the instrument, too). Plus, it was more fun to hear him play these songs than band arrangements, which are pretty monotonous. Definitely recommend this.

Great book, exactly what I was looking for. Although this is really a basic level book, but it does the job just fine.

Essential Elements is a great resource for band. As a retired band director I started using the band method when it first came out in the '90s. The supplemental materials have lived up to my expectations.

Great for my beginner sixth and seventh graders in band. We can only play about half the songs in the book, but they are great and I love the CD it comes with - gives my small band a big band feeling. I've used this product for two Christmas programs now and we've been able to try the harder songs (with a little success). I would recommend to any small beginner band.

Needed this for a community band in a retirement village. We played over half of these songs for their Christmas show. Great book!Most of the musician were in their 80's!
