I've had a Husquavarna for the last 5 years and this device is not only cheaper and much easier to maintain but it is light years smarter and better. My previous automatic mower would just bounce around aimlessly, and it had to run at least 8 hours a day to sort of keep the grass cut. Now I can actually cut the grass with ease. After about 2 years, the tree roots started breaking my perimeter wire and it would cost 300-500 to get it fixed and this would happen multiple times a year! :(I no longer have to worry about it getting stuck, and in the rare chance that it does get stuck, I can simply just jump on it with video and remote, and like a remote control car with a remote camera, I can drive it out of the spot it's stuck. Seriously, this thing is amazing. I was flying home from Aruba, watching the camera as it mowed. The people sitting next to me couldn't believe their eyes.

This is a really nice concept, however it does not work as advertised. Lots of development needed for this to work properly. The mapping process may take forever to finalize. Also, it returns frequently alarming low visibility in the middle of a sunny day.Customer service very difficult to get to.

UPDATE: Eufy reached out to me, they took my feedback and provided a beta build of their app and firmware. Most of my issues for example; around the lack of manual mapping has been added in addition a lot of improvements around the responsiveness of the app. When you click mow in less then a second it says mowing. There are still some issues but how Eufy has been listing to the community and adding / fixing features i know this will only continue to get better, this is one of the best lawn mowers out there.Original Review:This is a great entry into the robot lawn mower. I am very happy with it, however, the setup may be less then 5 mins but mapping is not as fun as they show. If you have a yard next to a neighbor that does not have a flower garden, walkway or something separating you, eufy has not thought about this. This robot lacks a manual outline like others, so you have to physically block off the robot from mapping your neighbors yard, this seams simple but it is a pain. Thankfully that is a software problem and only a one time thing. The other issues keeping this at 3 stars is the app, you click the play to mow the lawn and nothing happens, it takes around 30 seconds to a min for the app to update the robot is doing something which makes you think so I need to click it again. Once again software problem, I think overtime this will get much better.

(Previous Rating: 2 Stars, Now: 4 Stars)After a rough start with the Eufy E15 Robot Mower, I’m glad to report that things have turned around significantly, thanks to the beta software update version 6.8.19 that Eufy pushed to my mower just a day ago. I tested it right away, & the improvements are impressive.Manual Zoning, Now a Game ChangerOne of the biggest changes is the new manual zoning feature. I have a front yard split by a public walkway, which was a challenge before. But now, I was able to guide the mower across the walkway, let it complete mapping in the new zone, return to base, update its map, & then seamlessly start mowing again just by selecting the zone & hitting play. That’s exactly how it should work, & this time, it did, flawlessly.Map Editing & Pathways, Great ImprovementsThe update also improved features like No-Go Zones, Must-Go Zones, Edit Zones, & especially the Pathway function. These are best done after the initial mapping & with the mower at the base station. Setting pathways between zones (especially those divided by hard surfaces) is now far more reliable, though a bit tricky. Important note: Whenever you’re adding zones or editing any settings, it is best done when the mower is on the base station & the map has already updated. Doing it this way ensures everything is recorded correctly. For example, my base station is inside my garage for security. Originally, this wasn’t supported, the mower kept losing its bearings, often showing an error like “[E0909] Ensure the robot is on the lawn or the pathway created before.” To work around this, I used the remote control to guide the mower just a few feet from the base station (so it could still detect it), & then created a pathway from that spot to the nearest grass zone. Once that was set, the mower could locate the base station again & function properly.External Base Station Support, Coming SoonI’m told that on May 20, the next beta will include external base station support. This will hopefully allow users to place the base wherever they want, which would make this mower much more flexible & user-friendly. But even now, with the current beta, I’ve managed to make it work.Customer Service, Responsive & HelpfulTo anyone considering this mower, if you’re facing similar issues, I recommend reaching out to Eufy support & asking to be enrolled in the beta program. They were polite, responsive, & easy to work with. I never had a problem communicating with their team.Final Verdict (For Now)Before the update, I was dealing with mapping errors, software bugs, & limitations that made me seriously consider returning the mower. But with the latest beta, those major issues have been resolved. The mower is now mowing across my 3 grass zones smoothly, & the added features are showing great promise. It’s not quite perfect yet, I’m still waiting on the polygon-shaped No-Go Zones & full support for an external base, but this is finally a product that lives up to the potential it promised. From 2 stars, I’m now confidently giving it 4 stars. Almost there, Eufy, keep those updates coming.
