The passthrough is tall enough for my level 2 cord but just barely. Where this thing falls down is the width, it's really narrow compared to the tire that might drive overit and it's just a typical mid size suv tire. Might be better as a garage door pass through if your garage floor and drive are the same level.

This is very basic, a cover for the cable that has to go under the garage door to charge your EV or Hybrid (or for whatever reason, running the Christmas lights or electric whatever). I was concerned with was a bit thick, but it give a bit when the door closes keeping a nice seal. This give it an added benefit thinner garage door only pads do not have, you can use it for travel security! It can take the weight of the car, allowing you to run your line under your tire when you are using your own cable to charge up in a less secure area. Nice bonus. Works well, fair at $13. But right now (March 2025), Amazon has a $2 off, its a super great item.

If you're already spending hundreds on an EV charger, the least you can do is protect it with one of these.Now the way that this was designed it can also be screwed into the floor but it is slightly tall for where the EV cable would go. You may need to adjust your garage motor setting or even ensure that the rubber seal can cover it enough as the cable guard protects the cable from the garage.Its fairly flexible as you can see in the last photo and it covers enough space so its not an abrupt or sudden change in height.

This is a solid rubber cable pass through protector that is made well and should hold up well. The protector helps reduce wear and tear on your ev cable especially if you need to use it when closing the garage door. The cable protector has two holes where you could screw it permanently down if desired. The cable protector helps reduce tripping on the cord too. This is a good product that helps protect your cable.

Pros: The cord opening is wide. The material seems sturdy. The center is strong and protective of the cable.Cons: The height is too high. We have one from another brand (Spigen) and it is more low-profile, not getting wedged between the garage door and the ground. The garage door pushes down on this one so that it's trapped and squished. It's also a bit wider, taking up more space than necessary, compared to our other one.I wouldn't personally recommend it. I think it's taller and wider than it needs to be. Competitors are more low-profile and take up less space. It does seem well-made but it could have been designed better.

I wish I had paid more attention to the dimensions, because this was much narrower than I expected. It should still keep your wheels off of the cable, but you'll have to make sure you have them placed just right so you don't completely miss them when you drive over them. It seems like it's better made for going under a garage door, but most garage doors have a rubber seal on them anyway, and shouldn't cause any damage to the cable. The only reason use case I can imagine is for driving a car over the cable, but you would need two of these to cover the left and right tires. Overall, for the price, I think it would have been fair to get a pair of them since they're so small.

My family has two electric vehicles. It is really annoying to have to move the cars all around the garage and driveway to charge. Charging in the driveway is easier, but I don't like leaving my garage open, allowing in pests or thieves. This charging cable protector has made life so much easier. I can completely shut the garage door and charge the 2nd vehicle outside, without having worry about pests or security. It's very easy to use - place on the cable and shut the door.
