My 22 yr old female cat has started peeing right outside the box, she backs up to the box and pees but does not go in it. This is the best solution I have found. I place the mat right outside the front of the box and cover it with a several layers of paper towels. I remove them when I see they are damp and replace them. Then wash off the mat itself once a day.

I bought this mat for two reasons:1. Catching litter2. Easy cleanupMy cat doesn’t walk out of her little box, she jumps and litter flings everywhere. The mat is designed to catch and trap the litter, which I love, because otherwise it end up on the opposite side of the bathroom. I also love the mat because it prevents the litter from being crushed, which is harder to clean up.The clean up is the best part. I can pick the mat up and shake it out over the trash bin. On the occasion that my cat pees on the mat, paper towels go down first to soak it up and then it gets rinsed off with watch and vinegar, hung to dry and we’re all set.There are a few comments that it’s too small but it works perfect for my litter box. It’s the triangle corner one from PetSmart - perfect for space saving and it’s hooded.

Love these mats . They capture litter & to get clean shake it out & just use the vacuum crevice tool to get it totally clean.Great buy. We had one for 15 yrs... The lifetime of our last kitty , unfortunately,just got a new one for the kitten we adopted. Works just as well - even the same color.Very good mat....Hope this helps anyone who needs a great mat that stops the litter by the litter box.

My cat’s litter box sits in the corner of my mud room/laundry room. The space is small, so I needed a litter mat that wouldn’t take up too much floor space. I also needed one that would look nice since some guests come in through the mud rooms doorway entry. This litter mat checked all my boxes. I was hesitant to order due to the low price point. However, I have been impressed since using this mat for a couple of months now. It’s been extremely durable and easy to clean. It has not bent, creased, and the edges remain flat. I vacuum the mat and the area around it daily with a cordless handheld vacuum. Once a week, it gets cleaned in warm water and a cleaning solution. The mat still looks new to this day! The design and materials on the mat keep the litter from tracking by “gripping” or “embedding” the litter in it. This mat isn’t as thick as others I’ve purchased in the past, but it’s just as effective if not better minus the unnecessary bulk. I don’t know if I’d use this mat if I had a larger litter box or more than one cat sharing a litter box. For my single cat, it works perfectly! Highly recommend!

Die Größe der Matte entspricht der Breite einer normalen Katzentoilette, wie auf der Abbildung zu sehen und sie ist ziemlich weich. Die Oberfläche ist rau.Ich hatte zuerst ein Streu aus Pflanzenfasern, das sehr leichte Flocken hat. Damit hat es gar nicht funktioniert. Die Erfolgsquote lag bei 60-70% und schien nur das zu sein, was sowieso zufällig darauf gelandet ist. Trotzdem lag im weiten Umkreis Streu herum.Jetzt verwende ich ein anderes aus "100% natürlichem aktiviertem Bentonit " und es fällt beim Verlassen der Toilette nichts mehr an der Matte vorbei. Wenn noch Krümel rumliegen, dann wurde zu wild gescharrt oder ich habe beim Befüllen zu viel "gekleckert". Das, was auf der Matte landet kann man wieder reinschubsen, denn die Krümel kleben darauf nicht etwa fest.Ich habe für die zweite Toilette im Laden eine entsprechende Matte von Trixi gekauft und kann bis zum eingeprägten Pfotenabdruck zwischen beiden Matten keinen Unterschied feststellen - na ja, eine ist eckig eine halbrund.
