Have used this tool and crimped many RJ45 plugs. So much easier than a conventional crimp tool. Works most the time.Take your time properly preparing the wires and straighten them before pushing them inside the plug. If you feel to much resistance, then that is a sign the wires are crossed. You should always visually inspect the wires to see if they are in proper order.

The tools provided by my employer were inadequate. I purchased this tool and connectors for my own use and to finish a job at work. Will suggest that my employer purchases this kit and similar connectors in the near future.

Although I just create cables for my home and lab, I've made a lot of cables as I wired Cat 6 around my house. I have used the standard plugs for years.I've been busy in the attic in high temps and I wanted to build cables quicker. The Everest crimp tool and the pass-through connectors made the job faster and easier. I had 100% success rate and used a fraction of the time.

I am one that finds a tool that works and I use it forever. I have been using the old RJ45 crippers for 13 years now and gotten my fare use out of them. I happen to stumble on some pass through RJ45 plugs. They worked great and I could tell with the right tool this would make all my terminations look pro, so, "What the Hell." I bought this tool to get the use out of the pass through. Oh my! Dropped down the amount of mistakes, time on terminations, and overall look. If you are looking at this, it is time to move to the next generation.

I recently lost my ethernet crimpers that I've had for almost a decade and needed a replacement. These are an exact match, or so I thought. The crimping portion of them is fine. Exactly as I expected even. But the blades that this kit come with are apparently made out of paper because I can hardly get them to cut or strip anything. I always take the exterior jacket off of Cat5/5e/6/6e using the round stripper and it won't cut anything and there's no adjustment on the blade. The full cutting blade also take far too much effort to actually trim the wiring down.I'd give these a chance if I could make the round stripper usable, but I took it apart and found no way to adjust. It seems the whole thing is just poorly manufactured and just barely too big for any cable that I would try to use it on, and therefore, unable to be used. It's unfortunate because I love my old crimpers. Hopefully I find them somewhere, or I find a better replacement.

One of the most useful tools I got, it just get rid of wasting time in all aligning the wires, and you can verify the wire order easily before the termination since the wires go out from the RJAnd for the jacket that comes with it, it’s super professional, check photoI love it

My new RJ45 EZ Crimp Tool Kit for Pass Through Connector End With 50 Cat6 Pass Through Connectors & 50 Clear Cable Strain Relief Boots & Extra blades turned out to be a really good buy. Oh, I agonized for a long time while I considered buying a RJ45 EZ Crimp Tool Kit for Pass Through Connector End With 50 Cat6 Pass Through Connectors & 50 Clear Cable Strain Relief Boots & Extra blades, but finally decided that if I were going to wire my home for LAN connectors--as opposed to depending on fickle WiFi through walls and floors--I was going to need my own RJ45 EZ Crimp Tool Kit for Pass Through Connector End With 50 Cat6 Pass Through Connectors & 50 Clear Cable Strain Relief Boots & Extra blades. It doesn't necessarily make the job easy, because man, those wires are tiny! But it does make the job possible. As with a great many such products that appear on Amazon, it could use a set of instructions, and doesn't come with one--but, hey! The internet is a rich cornucopia of how-to videos, and once you get YOUR newly manufactured cable installed, those videos come through faster than ever.

This crimper is similar, a copy, or the same as others you will see that are more money. I have been crimping RJ45s for literally decades using different crimpers. I have now switched over to using pass through RJ45 even though they are more expensive. To best use these pass through RJ45s, you really need a crimper that can crimp and trim the ends (although I have used a regular crimpers and trimed the ends with a knife but using this crimper is much better). The only issue I have found with this crimper is the knife that trims the pass through cable ends was not installed carefully and the edge had a few dings. This knife is held in place with one small screw and is easily replaced or adjusted. Due to misadjustment and/or edge dings, the 1 and 8 wires of the cat5 were not always completely cut through. Not a big deal since I only had to twist and clip them. I have not bothered to adjust the knife since it works and I have other things to do. This issue only arises if you are using pass through RJ45s. Finally, whatever type of RJ45, I have never had a bad crimp which is probably the most important thing. I am not sure what would be gained with a more expensive crimper of this type. Like I mentioned, I have been building and designing all kind of electronic devices for over 50 years and have three degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and have never seen the need to buy tools that are of higher quality or cost than is needed. Enough quality to get the job done reliably for years is just fine. Don't let anyone tell you different.
