It would almost be impossible to do the crimping of the wire rope without this. The only drawback is you need good upper body strength to close the handle it’s somewhat awkward

I ordered 1/16" Wire Rope with various associated parts. Tried to crimp using regular pliers. That did not work effectively. Ordered the crimper tool and that did the job. Great tool, great price, solid performance.

I received my item and it was missing the cutter completely. Luckily, I was able to cut my cabling with a pair of cutters I had, so it wasn’t a total loss, but I am still pretty disappointed that the cutter was missing. The crimper itself works great, no complaints there.

This kit was used to crimp stainless cable used suspend a fabric sunshade. Very easy to use.

Takes incredible strength to crimp. Can't do it. Had to resort to another tool from the local hardware store.

I dont know, depending on your application these might be alright but they are not super easy to use. The tip is bulbous so wont enter tighter spaces and you need the force of the mighty Hercules to crimp a larger sleeve. There is a couple adjustment knobs ; they seemed to make no difference to the operation. Some tools feel good in your hands and work really well. Not this one. It does the job but prepare for frustration.

Nice tool, I wish the handles were longer for more leverage. They didn't cut the wire cleanly when we first used them. After tightening the bolts the cuts were perfect. Great tool, just needs a little muscle to crimp and cut.
