I bought this about two years ago. Our beagle chewed through two retractable leashes within three months, so I had to find a solution. This may be slightly bulky but it has given me peace of mind. Holds up well too. Now we have two beagles and no worries lol.

While the two leash system seems like a good idea, in fact, it has some drawbacks:Both steel cable leashes weigh too much for the winding spring so the leash drags when there's slack and the dogs get tangled up constantly. This is a problem even with just one dog on the leash. I have to use the shorter leader because it's lighter and doesn't drag as much as the slightly longer/heavier on.The construction is solid and the handle is extremely comfortable but having a sagging leash that my dogs are constantly stepping over and becoming tangled in it is too much trouble.It needs a stronger recoil spring.

Stops my 2 huskies on a dime, makes walking them at the same time a joy rather than a chore. They like to pull and do their own thing but this keeps them on pace with each other and I can release or retract with ease. It’s definitely sturdy. The main reason I wanted it is because the puppy likes to bite his leash which caused it to tear but the bite proof cable works great for this!

I love this product. My dog has chewed and broken two leashes until I found this one and he finally can’t break it. I was so scared I was going to have to keep buying new ones! The only problem I found is that sometimes it locks by itself but it’s very easy to unlock. amazing product if your dog likes to bite and chew stuff

At six months the leash started spooling and making lots of loud noise. I bought it for a ten pound dog that likes to chew. The nonchewable part is plastic over metal cable. After the dog chewed on it the cable was exposed and the metal parts rusted. I don’t recommend this item.

Great leash so far. The metal rope attachment is pretty heavy though and hangs down/drags when using it. Our dog is constantly getting tangled in it.

I purchased this retractable lead because of its chew-resistant wire cable option. My lab-mix puppy quickly ruined the first retractable leash we purchased, so it was obvious the wire cable was a needed feature in the next leash. We've since added a second lab-mix puppy so having two leads on one leash has worked out nicely. The unit feels strong, the lock holds well, and the lead retracts without tangling. I'm happy with this purchase.

This is a great leash for large dogs. Retracts really well and is easy to manage. The only negative thing is the leash itself snags pretty easily which then leads to fraying.

Great for strong or large dogs. Walked 2 pit/Bassett hound mixes (don't ask, we don't know how it happened either) and it was great since they are both strong but want to stay near each other (siblings). However walking the two doxies in the fam was a total failure they didn't want to be near each other (within 3 ft) or go at the same pace and the connectors was a bit heavy for one of them since she kept stopping and it would slide down or droop creating another obstacle (mainly for me since she didn't give a f*#%).Would still highly recommend but keep the personalities and size/strength of your pups in mind. If I was buying for the doxies I might get longer tethers and the softer lighter nylon type.Also works great with both harnesses and collars. Has a great lock and didn't seem to get tangled or snag when retracting. Came with its own poop bag dispenser and has a spot where it clips on with a provided carabiner (can be loud when it bangs on the handle but it works).
