Excellent, heavy duty springs! I see they were designed to fit an MTD Cub Cadet, but I wanted to use them in conjunction with a gate closer and I believe they will work very well. Unfortunately, I haven't completed the installation yet so I don't have a picture of the finished product. The picture I included was to give an idea of their size. They are apparently chrome plated and give a beautiful appearance. The springs should be weather resistant. Springs are tight and well made. When pulled apart to a reasonable distance, they spring back into place as a spring is designed to do. I'm sure the hooks on both ends will enable the springs to fit into place on a Cub Cadet but they are also useful to attach to other objects that have a requirement to be pulled back in place. They're well made, quality springs and should serve Cadet and other purposes well. It was easy to give them 5 stars.
